...the only way to go ...a pad would get like a big diaper between your legs. YIKES .
So maybe just start with a slender or teen size if you are new to this . Practice at home when you are relaxed and comfortable . Then venture out and have FUN.

I would never swim in a pad. I don't know how you could do that discreetly. Plus... it would get water logged, no?

I have never heard of such a thing myself either. In the past I always used tampons for that time of the month, but since I have been diagnosed with endometriosis I have to use pads.
When I go swimming I use tampons because you would think there would be no point in wearing a pad because once the pad absorbs all the water there would be no room for anything else.

ok- I'll admit it- I've done it! When I was in high school I just could not get a tampon in. I think it was b/c I was a competitive figure skater and those muscles were really strong/ I could not get them to relax enough.
So I wore a shorty wetsuit to take cottaging with me. Well actually my dad cut an old thick dive suit off for me so it was thicker material and didn't show lines of what was underneath. Underneath I wore strechy mama briefs like your granny would wear with a pad and a bikini top.
Yes they do absorb water. And they stop sticking to the underpants. But the wetsuit held everything in place. It was better than not going in the water all week!

You might as well not wear anything at all if you're gonna wear a pad swimming

Too funny.... on Aug 10, 2009 @ 11:59 pm
you mentioned this. I was on a trip to Wasaga Beach, and a friend of mine was wearing a pad when she went swimming...lol I personally wouldn't go swimming if I was on.
oh no no noo on Aug 19, 2009 @ 04:07 am
I'd never wear a pad while swimming! Tampons are the way to go!
tampons all the wayy on Aug 26, 2009 @ 08:20 pm
You should deff use a tampon when swimmming. A pad would get like a sponge in water. It would be like a really wet diaper. Lmao i would die if i saw someone wearing a pad to swim lol
