Is there a tradition that you do with your Family during Christmas,I mean all of your Family?Even though my Mom passed away four Christmas's ago,we still all Sisters,Brothers and their Families go to my Mom's house on Christmas Day for Dinner. After dinner and everything is put away,we take out our Guitars and have a sing along. This can go on for hours and when we get tired of playing music,we put on some tapes and start Dancing. We have a great time and take pictures to remember our get together and the fun we all had. What do you do?

Our traditions are fairly simple. When my brother and I still lived at home, we did stockings first, presents second, then a nice big breakfast, and the extended family later in the day. We also did advent calendars in December which was always fun. When I was really young we would go to Christmas Eve service at church. This is my first Christmas as a married woman, so my husband and I are trying to figure out a little tradition to start, since we can't travel this year to visit any family. We've still got some time to figure it out :)

My family can't get together at Christmas, so we have a Gathering every year in November and make a pot luck out of it and everyone takes turn hosting it,lots of fun.

In December, we make a gingerbread house. We also stick whole cloves in oranges and hang the oranges up. I make and snail mail out Christmas cards. We normally watch the big Santa Claus Parade.
On Christmas Eve my children lay out their stockings. My youngest gets out cookies and milk for Santa. I think he gave Santa Eggnog last year. He also put a bowl of water out for the deer and some sort of fruit of vegetables. I read the boys the night before Christmas.
On Christmas morning we open the gifts (while the fire log Christmas showing is playing on the TV), eat breakfast. Call the grandparents (they don't live in the same province)
Get dressed and drive to my sisters (2.5 hours) She cooks Christmas lunch for us and our brothers and their kids. Lots of good food and gift exchange. Draw names for the following year.
We then rush off to visit my step dad and his new wife. More food gift exchange.
Drive back home .... Very busy and rushed day but, we look forward to it each year.

might sound silly but my family and I love scratch tickets. We get them for eachother each year and on xmas morning as we have our coffee we all sit around the table scratching away. It's become quite a tradition at my house
