I guess it all depends on the reason trust was lost in the first place. I don't think that the person who had their trust broken should need to *learn* to trust again. I think the person who broke the trust needs to *earn* it back.

It is not up to you to "fix" the problem if you didn't create it.. however, you will never be happy if you punish everyone for one person's mistake... for example.. if your bf/gf cheated on you and you are no longer with that person don't assume the new bf/gf will do the same... open your heart... yes, you might get hurt again BUT if you don't get hurt again, it will be WONDERFUL!

Do you know the story behind the theft? ie why they stole the money? If let's say it was because they were hungry, it is more understandable than if it was just because they wanted to steal for the sake of stealing....

oh man it cant be good to not be able to let your guard down. Have a talk and express how you feel. Do store your money in a safe place. Action, reaction.

Trust is such an importance in life I feel! Can't be to trusting but u gotta trust hardest when u loose trust espicially in a relationohip. I've lost trust before it took me a very very long time to gain trust in people but I decided to focus on the positive instead of always looking at negative. I've learned that not everyone is the same and people make mistake but I believe being cautious is also important. Follow your gut feeling it's usually right don't follow your instinct based on passed mistake.
