I've been to a few places down south, mainly Caribbean destinations, and I'm curious as to what's your fave location and resort! Have you done any of the day trips offered?
I've been to Cuba, Dominican, Mexico, and Jamaica! I'll definitely will be making lots of comments on my experiences, from using travel websites, to attending destination weddings, to my fave resorts!

My favourite vacation that I've ever ever been on (so far) was to Negril, Jamaica. We stayed on 7 Mile Beach, went to Rick's Cafe where you can go cliff jumping while watching the sunset over the ocean, the water there is CRYSTAL turquoise - so gorgeous. And the people are so so so friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the peddlers on the beach. They would bug us alot and just walk up to us even when we tried to not make eye contact lol But we had a fantastic time and I'd go back in a heartbeat. We had a great day trip on a catamaran that a local had made a business out of. It was all you can drink with fresh lobster and snorkeling as well. We hired a cab driver to take us to Ocho Rios for the day where we did some shopping and also went to Dunns River Falls - which is like a water fall that you can climb up! We had soooooooo much fun. Just loved it.
But THIS SATURDAY we're going to GRAND CAYMAN!!!! I am so beyond excited! We're going for 2 weeks so I'm sure I'll have lots to report back :)

I am fortunate in that my mother-in-law works for WestJet! So we pretty much took care of everything ourselves because she gets particular perks at different places and of course, for flights. In Jamaica, we ended up choosing like a random resort but it was fantastic. It was called Sea Splash. Here's a link! http://www.seasplash.com/
It's not all inclusive but we actually loved that because it gave us a chance to really explore the culture there. We'd ask locals what the best places were to eat/go/shop. No regrets!
For Cayman, we're renting a condo! My in-laws went last year and stayed at a great place so we're doing that. The link for the condos is here. http://www.caymanreefresort12.com/
I'll post more about Grand Cayman when I get back!
