Fave resort in Cuba

I go to Cuba all the time. Been going to the same resort for a while; Melia Cayo Santa Maria. Anyone recommend any resorts? I would like to try something new next year

I am from cuba, try going to Iberostar Varadero.. while you're in varadero, try the night club "Pirate's cave" you will have a blast! - I assure you :)

I went to Playa Blanca in Cayo Large this past March. I've never been to any of the islands so it was a different perspective. The beaches there were beautiful and the resort itself was stunning. I'd recommend it.

We were at Memories Cayo Santa Maria a few years ago. The stay itself was great, the trip itself turned into a nightmare for the return portion - yet another epic fail on Sunwing's part...I don't think I will ever fly with them again, it was a second bad experience (first one was on return from Mexico).

We stayed at Playa Cayo Santa Maria last April and really enjoyed our stay. Great prices and thankfully we didn't run into any problems with Sunwing. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Would love to go there and be able to relate which resort is my favourite. Lucky girls.

Agreed. Iberostar Varadero is a wonderful resort. I 've stayed there on a solo trip and had a great time.

Our only saving grace of Cuba was the fact that our hotel room overlooked the ocean.

We visited both Varadero and Havana, and although husband and I both love History, it was subpar compared to our trips to Mexico (Mayan Riviera).

Our hotel was between names, so we never did figure out what the current name was.

The food was as unpalatable as people say it is - we even walked out of the A La Carte restaurant, it was so awful. And we're generally not picky eaters.
I lived off of cucumbers, cheese, Pringles (the snack bars rarely had food and we had to wait 30-45 minutes for snacks), bread & butter - and lost 5 lbs.

We were also glad we brought our own toilet paper. It was difficult to find outside of our room.

I would highly recommend not-Cuba.

Or Pringles. I'm never eating pringles again. I ate a can a day just to have food with substance.
