I am going to be taking my FIRST trip to Las Vegas and I am looking for some suggestions about a few things:
1. Best/Most affordable place to stay
2. Things I must see/do
3. Places I must eat
4. Where to shop
If anyone has some feedback on even one of these questions I would be very appreciative! I really want to make my first trip amazing! VEGAS BABY!!

Obviously places like Caesar's palace are amazing to stay at (but they are amazing ,I'm talking tv in the bathroom mirror amazing) , but on the more affordable route I would recommend Excalibur.
Its cheap but I found that the staff were friendly and the rooms were nice enough. The location is okay. It is closer to the beginning of the strip, but I didn't have a problem with the walk and it was right across from the MGM Grand where I partied a lot.
You must see the fountain at the Bellagio at least once. If you have time, walk through a lot of the hotel lobbies, each hotel is a different theme, Paris does a good job with the effiel tower, New York New York looks great inside, Mandalay Bay makes you feel like you're on a resort.
Caesar's Palace lobby,
If you party, since you are a girl you get everything for free, cover, even bottles at times. Tao night club is amazing, The club at the Bellagio ( i forget its name) but it was fun.
Depends when you are going (because "winter" starts soon) so the pool parties are done, but Daylight at Mandalay bay, Wet Republic at MGM,
To eat I'd say the cheesecake factory.
The shops at Caesar's palace were good, but I'd recommend the Macys mall at the end of the strip near Caesars was very good.
The outlet mall was nothing special.

I would love to know when prices go low and affordable! Ugh I have noticed when travelling to Vegas from Vancouver it can get extremely expensive. I have gone to Vegas twice and both times I have spent over $300 on my tickets from Bellingham because in Vancouver it was around $500. Not worth it at all!
Vegas is def a lot of fun you can potentially get a lot of complimentary bottle service you just need to find a promoter either over social media or walking along the strip promoting their clubs. My all time favourite club is Tao! The music and vibe is awesome and also it is pretty big.
I really liked the buffet at Wynn was all time favourite. The price is pretty affordable for the amount of food you can choose from delicious!

I'm dying for a return to Vegas! I find that there are some amazing Vegas deals now... I found a few great deals this fall, but couldn't go. The best deals had the flights/hotel packaged together.
I love the kitsch of Vegas - so we spent our time just gaming a little in each casino... I think we did 14 in 4 days. Each big casino has theme restos, mini-shows, and things to do. Loved the gondola rides at Venetian, the volcano at Mirage, the fountains at Bellagio (take the elevator up the Eiffel Tower at Paris across the street and watch the sun set along the strip and watch the Bellagio fountains from above!). Check the last-minute show vendors on the strip to see if you can score show tickets on the cheap. For a splurge - we booked our tickets for Cirque's 'O' 3 months in advance and it was worth it!
One day I will get my husband to re-marry me in one of those retro-wedding chapels. With Elvis, of course!

start playing myvegas on facebook. I am going back to vegas in 3 weeks (was there in april) and i am getting a free circque show, free buffet lunches at bellagio and mandalay bay, and a free buffet dinner at mgm. I play it in the background when I am anyways on my computer but it costs NOTHING and there really is no catch. I was expecting that when I got there in april (two of us claimed 2 show tickets each, 3 buffet meals and free passes to the aquarium then) it would be hard to redeem or effort, but they were easy and 100% free.
Also, social rewards for total rewards is totally free and you simply retweet, repost facebook posts and watch youtube videos and you get points to redeem for free money. I had $70 sitting loaded on my card when I got there in april which paid for dinner at gordon ramsay burger and a cheap lunch and on this trip in December I already have another $70 on it (have been ignoring the website for the last two months which was stupid!!).

My first trip to Vegas was 2 years ago and I WANT TO GO BACK! We stayed at The Tropicana and it was really reasonably price. It is more at the beginning of the strip, so if you are looking at maybe the middle of the strip, Tropicana won't be your choice.
I loved the Pirate show at Treasure Island (which is a hotel) and the light show at the Bellagio. Best places to eat...downtown where it is less expensive. If you eat anywhere along the strip, you will be paying more. You have to see the light show down on Freemont. It is the best.

stayed at the tropicana last time and again in two weeks when i go that is where i will be staying. Love the south end of the strip!

My husband and I got married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator. We just celebrated our sixth anniversary. It was awesome. We both loved Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill at Harrah's. Great food and atmosphere. 99 cent margaritas at Wild Bill's Saloon are real tasty! We stayed at Flamingo and got good deals online for a room there and different shows. Shop around, there are always good deals lurking around.
