It really depends where exactly are you going?
What countries are you planning to visit?

I keep checking their weather, doesn't look too cold there.

Ok, i see. Ya, it might not be too cold and snowy but you have to remember you're dealing with mother nature, be prepared for everything :) Do layers instead of heavy and huge winter coat :) and because cafes and bars are so close to each other you can always stop by for a nice coffee/tea or some bevy ;)
Remember to travel light, you probably will need less than you think :) If you forgot something its not the end of the world, you can always buy it or live survive without it. And be prepare to have a wonderful time!

You probably left on your trip already but for future reference if anyone is interested they do love fancy coats in Europe but I e also seen teenagers with puffy coats and sporty American looking clothes. I think some of the natives might look more tourist-y than the tourists :) Have fun
