I would stick to Netflix only because it's been around longer so it has more to offer. Shomi just came out and probably doesn't have a huge selection. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they use Shomi to be honest lol

I havent heard anyone mention they use Shomi either. Hence the curiosity, lol. I feel like Ive seen most the shows I'd want to watch on Netflix...

OH I forgot to mention.. you can change your IP address and stream off the US netflix if that helps.. better options :) If you google that, you'll find easy tutorials. I've changed my IP address on my computer, PS3 and my phone and it works :)

I agree the selection may be more limited with Shomi, and it also looks like it might be more expensive seeing as you'd have less to watch there too

Netflix if I have to choose. Shomi is garbage. Its incredibly slow and just layout is terrible too. You cant continuously watch shows and just so many other features that i dont like at all.
Canadian Netflix selection is pretty weak though. I prefer downloading or streaming as Im paying for unlimited internet anyways :)

I love Netflix so much, they have so many awesome shows and movies to watch on there! I never get bored when I use my Netflix. It's just so handy and convenient to have.

I am a shomi user ;)

CherryTea, which province are you in? I've been debating getting Shomi myself and am interested in opinions on it.

I think Shomi is owned by rogers, so skip it! Netflix is just so much better, they have great customer service too if you need assistance or have questions. Rogers is terrible to deal with
