My face has decided to go zit crazy lately and I was desperate for a complete system to stop the pimple madness! I decided to try Acnefree as I had heard it was similar to ProActive but cheaper. (Always a bonus).
The pros of this system are that it worked for me after about a week and a half of using it! My complexion has cleared up immensely.
A couple cons were that it dried my skin out BIG TIME. Even though it comes with a moisturizer I still had to use another one on top of it. The other thing I didn't enjoy was the burning sensation for the first few days as my skin got used to it.
I paid $26.99 for it and even though there were a couple things I didn't like about it I would still recommend this to anyone who is sick of acne issues! It did the job for me :)
I have tried a bunch of cleansers and nothing seemed to really work. I didn't want to try proactive because I heard that it bleaches some peoples' faces. This stuff really worked on my skin. I get a lot of pimples sround my chin area and since using the cleanser, toner and cream I have had maybe 2 or 3! I have been using it for about a month. The price however, not the best deal. $30 for 2 small containers and a 3rd that is even smaller. It will prpbably last me 3 months. I don't think its a great price but it works for me so I will buy it again!
i have very dry skin i do everything i can to keep it from flaking this product really helped with the acne but it made my face even dryer so i had to stop using it...... not for dry skin
AcneFree is moderately priced. After using it for a week, I saw amazing results. I would definitely recommend AcneFree to anyone!
I've struggled with moderate acne since I was eleven, and for ten years I'd tried EVERYTHING; Oxy, Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, Phisoderm, Clearasil, Cetaphyl, organic products, pretty much every widely-known brand of acne treatment under the sun. I'd also had little-to-no results with ProActive after giving it a fair 4 month trial. At the beginning of the summer I gave AcneFree a try, and oh my goodness, I am never going back. Like ProActive, AcneFree is a three-step treatment with basically the same three steps: cleanser, toner, and a leave-on cream containing benzoyl-peroxide (the active ingredient in most acne products). I'm not sure why this product is different, the only advertised difference I noticed was the claim that the benzoyl-peroxide was "time-released", so it "fights acne 24/7!". Whatever the difference is, it works.
At first the treatment made my skin SO dry, it literally felt like sandpaper. Obviously this kinda sucked, but after two weeks it went away and my skin adjusted back to normal, minus the majority of the acne! I still get the odd pimple every so often, and unfortunately it's done zilch for my blackheads, but there's been such an amazing improvement in the quality of my skin. You can't go off it though. Once I noticed my skin had improved I stopped using it in favor of a simpler, cheaper cleanser, but my acne returned (so obviously I went back on it, and there was a noted improvement right away). That's the one thing I don't like about it; it's not as simple as just washing your face, so it's kind of a hassle when you're traveling or running late in the morning. It's worth it though, I was amazed at how quickly and effectively it worked. I definitely recommend it!
