This product has been a lifesaver for my curly hair! I recommend it to anyone who has tight curls. I put it in when my hair is wet just out of the shower, and blow-dry it with alberto's hairspray. It's doesn't make my hair gummy like gels do, and not crispy like mousses. It really is the best of both products, provides hold, but keeps my curls soft. The trick is you need to use it with the hairspray so the curls will hold and the blowdrying will soften it up. I was extremely sad to see it start to disappear from grocery and drugstore shelves, I hope it's never discontinued, I wouldn't use anything else!

I got this one as a free sample from their facebook page, it is a full sized sample at that, i got a personalized coupon for any full sized product i wanted. when i got this i was looking for something for my son. he got a mohawk for the summer but regular gel didnt seem to be working as well as we had hoped. we decided to try alberto european moussing gel instead, since we were getting it for free we figured it couldnt hurt to try, and we were shocked. this stuff actually made my sons mohawk stand on end the way we had hoped it would and it was durable, he could do just about anything, including sleep and his hair would bounce right back up. i loved how quickly it dried because lets face it no 6 year old wants to sit around for an hour waiting for their hair to dry. once we saw how well it worked we decided to do a little experiment, we did my sons hair in the morning and let him do whatever he wanted to do for the day, we decided not to wash his hair before bed to really put this stuff to the test and we couldnt believe the results, after a full day of running around, wrestling, playing and then 8 hours of sleeping my sons hair was still bouncing back up

Free Alberto product - I chose 'moussing gel, curls & waves'. Comes out as a gel, turns to featherlight foam, very light scent, not sticky or stiff. I just put a fist full of foam on wet hair and let it dry...great curls, no frizz!!, no crunchy or greasy feel. WINNER!

I really like this product! It gives me great curl definition and volume. I really like the mousse/gel texture. It doesn't weigh your hair down or make it look greasy, and it doesn't leave any product build up as I've found with other hair products I've tried.
