reviews Almay Smart Shade Makeup-Had me from hello as far as the commercial was concerned. A foundation that was going to match my skin tone without the added hassle of trying different shades or mixing to get the right one. I bought it along with the concealer and headed home to try it out! reviews In terms of natural looking color yes, it works, dosn't look like your wearing makeup at all, but honestly i wasn't too impressed with the results, some days it worked pretty well, other days soso. i tend to get blemish and it didn't cover them like my regular foundation did. so i would only recommend this product to someone who already has a great complexsion, otherwise to me all its good for is sun screen! I'd been wanting to try this makeup for quite a while but kept putting it off because I was skeptical of how well it would really work. But I saw it in a value pack that included a tube of the smart shade blush, and figured since it was such a good deal I'd go ahead and give it a try. Finding foundation that will match my super pale pink undertoned skin is a tricky task and I was doubtful that the lightest shade was going to be light enough for me. But this product really surprised me! It looked a bit too dark immediately after applying, but within a couple minutes it had adjusted to match my skintone perfectly - no streaks, no yellow or orangish hue to it, not too pink like many foundations I've tried in the past - it just looked like my skin in a slightly better state than it is when I am not wearing any makeup. It is very lightweight and sheer, definitely not for those seeking moderate or heavy coverage. Updated On: Oct 02, 2008 So, the color doesn't match AT ALL anymore since cooler weather has hit and my skin is fairer than it was when I was using this before. Maybe if they had an "extra light" shade, too. I still like the natural coverage but perhaps not so good for those of us who are uber pale. I don't get breakouts often and so this is great if you want a sheer, very natural, "you can't tell I'm wearing make up but I don't normally look this good"-look. I tried this on and even my boyfriend was impressed how well it evens out my complexion. It is really quite awesome. reviews I was pretty skeptical about this...I mean, a foundation that magically matches to your skin tone? When the product comes out of the tube white with little bluish beads, my doubts increased. But, lo and behold, it actually did change from white to foundation color! Blends great with pretty sheer coverage, but no streaks or orange tone. Holds up well for the day. Love this product! reviews I kept seeing the commercials for this and I just had to try it! It's $18.49, which is expensive to me, but I heard nothing but good things about it, so I splurged big time. Honestly, I love this product! It comes in three shades- light, light/medium, and medium. Most foundations have 20+ to chose from! This is truly, a "colourless" foundation. There is no stress from trying to pick the right shade like "ivory" or "classic ivory" and so on. You have three choices, and you really can't go wrong! They say it's best for dry skin types, but I'm usually complex, and it works just find for me. It has SPF 15, which we should all be wearing all the time! The bottle is also really compact and easy to take anywhere. It's a 30ml bottle for $18.49, so compare your other makeups and decide if you think it's worth it for you or not. Almay is a great product name that I trust. [ back to top ] This review is the subjective opinion of a ChickAdvisor member and not of ChickAdvisor Inc. | ||
