Almay Smart Shade Makeup

I recently went to a REVLON warehouse sale, where I picked up Almay Smart Shade foundation. I decided to try it since I could get it at a fraction of the price.

I always have difficulty finding the right shade of foundation, but was skeptical that this would match my skin tone. Boy was I wrong! Its a perfect match, and doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup!

I would definitely recommend this product! - and won't hesitate to pay full price for it when my warehouse sale find is empty!

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price ($17CDN -- my usual foundation is only $7), but after picking the wrong shades of my usual brand a few times in a row I decided to give it a shot, since it promises to eliminate the problem of finding the perfect shade. Well, it works! It's nice on my skin, feels light, and the shade is indeed perfect. I have olive skin which tans really easily in the summer and pales quickly once fall arrives, so having a foundation that will make those subtle changes WITH my skin was awesome. I'd definitely recommend it.

I was very skeptical about this product to begin with. I doubted its ability to perfectly match my skin tone. But i was pleasantly surprised. There are three shades to choose from, making it much easier to find a shade that works. I, having fair skin, chose the "light" shade. It worked very well for me. It comes out white, then as you rub it in it turns slightly brown and eventually into your skin-tone. You definitely have to make sure you rub it all in and keep rubbing until it blends in. It gives a nice, light coverage and doesn't feel too heavy or caked on. I found it looks very natural if you use the right amount. I like the fact it has SPF in it. It is slightly expensive, but a little goes a long way with it, so it lasts a fair amount of time. It leaves my skin smooth and soft. I do agree though that if you want a foundation that has a ton of coverage and covers all blemishes and imperfections, this may not be for you.

Almay Smart Shade Foundation is by far the best foundation I have used. It is very easy to apply, looks natural, and it has a SPF 15. It is wonderful for everyday use, especially if you are pressed for time in the morning. It is a light liquid and I blends into your skin tone. It give full coverage without looking fake. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a quick and effective way to look your best.

It made me look like I had balls of foundtion on my face it was a waste of my money!

This product is a NO-NO for me! I had purchased it as soon as I saw the add on the tv. It sounded too good to be true but I thought I should give a try, I ended up giving it away..
First, it should not be called smart shade, I used the darkest shade because of my skin color and it just made no sense.
Second, it's messy and doesn't speard as well either.
Third, I doesnt hide any imperfect skin.
The results were bad. I didn't like it all and would not recommend it to anyone!

I bought Almay smart shade make up in medium and at first i thought i was risking $17 for it, but the free berry almay smart shade blush that came with it was a bonus so it made it worth it. when I came home i washed my face off of my foundation and tried the Almay. It was fabulous. you dont need alot for the color to begin to show. it starts off white and then as you blend it on your face it turns into the color of your skin. Just like the name says, this foundation is smart at figuring out your shade because the little bubbles in the formula break down to match the color of your skin. TIP: its kind of tricky when you first use it because this foundation is the kind that you determine its lightness/darkness by the amount you use. if you use too much on your chin for example your chin will be very dark, and if you use a tiny bit on your cheeks or forehead it will barely show. so use it in certain amounts fit for every part of your face in porportion. so after i figured this out and tried again my face looked so good its amazing i couldnt stop looking in the mirror. i guess i got a darker shade (oops) i should have gotten light/medium, but thats not a problem because Im going to use it as bronzer during the summer. it gives you such a natural slightly tanned look that ive never seen any bronzer give. its perfect! so i recommend buying this product, and if you buy the darker shade use it as a bronzer for early summer to give you the look of the first effects of sun on your face. run out to stores now because every foundation shade has a free blush fit for its color.

i hated this stuff it clumped up on my face it looked like i had dirt balls on my face it grosed me out it also set in the few wrinkes i have that really bothered me

I don't know how many great things i can say about this foundation. It does exactly what it says, it matches your skin tone. It didn't give me that ghastly "dead" look like some foundations do. It is so worth every penny I spent on it and I have been trying for a long time to find a product that totally pleases me and gives me the coverage i was looking for.

I love this foundation you put it on and it adjusts to my skin tone! its amazing!
