Mixed Feelings
I only used 3 shades the darker ones for contour. Loved them, found they blended easily but found the palette got messy really fast. The lighter shades were pretty useless for me. Sometimes I felt like it would melt off and the colour wasn't as deep as I wanted to be. It would start dark and then through out the day would fade. It's a love/hate
A good cream contour kit
This is a good cream contour kit. It’s easy to blend on your face. However, I found that over time the product needs an oil to get the creaminess and better blend ability when you apply it to your face. I tend to sprits my face with a mist before I blend it out. Overall, the end results from this product turns out beautiful and not cakey.
Cream contour kit
This was the second Anastasia Beverly Hills product I had purchased and tried. I got it for a good price. The concealer was a little dry and hard to blend under my eyes personally. I feel it would work better with an oil added or only to use under my cheek area under the contour. The contour works very well. It blends nicely. It blends even better with a facial oil added to it or serum. I love that their is three different concealer colours and three different contour colours so I can mix it up or if I tan and get darker I can still use my palette. I like this palette a lot and read for it often.
Contour Pallette
Ooo
It's pretty flippin nice, I love that it comes with a highlight . I pretty much love everything about it other then these two flaws
The darkest brown leaves a muggy tinge to the skin that the contour pallette doesn't but the creme does . And to get a nice application you have to warm in on your hand ..
Don't like that
It would be pretty great if it came with an oil since it costs a pretty penny
I have this kit in "Fair", and I'm a Mac NC15 for reference. I love this contour kit! You must practice to learn how to use it properly, you don't want to over or under blend if you'd like to achieve a natural look. The shade "Fawn" in this kit is a perfect contour shade for me. It's a matte grey-brown, which looks very natural on my skin. This is NOT overly warm/orange. The kit does come with a warmer shade that I use as a bronzer, called "Shadow". Still, a very natural looking bronzer. There is a lot of product in each tray, cream products go a long way. Pigmentation is excellent. Coverage is buildable. You do not need a foundation under/over this, it is a foundation on it's own. Beware that it does tend to cling to dry spots, so make sure you properly moisturize and prime beforehand.
This is a perfect contour kit for my skin type and complexion. I use the 2nd medium - dark palette. The burnt orange colour covers the bags under my eyes perfectly. The texture is creamy but not too think and heavy. This palette will last me forever but when I run out I will definitely repurchase!
I really like the colour palette of this contour kit, but I wasn't the happiest with the consistency. I find it a little difficult to blend and I have to use quite a bit before I achieve a noticeable amount of definition. That being said, my makeup looks better than ever and the different colours allow me to use this kit at any time of the year.
