Good

This particular product is good and it works well. It catches the insects and bugs well. It is good especially if you are having a barbeque in the night.

Husband refuses to go outside around dusk due to mosquitos loving his blood. This mosquito trapping device has helped make evenings outside more enjoyable for both of us!

It is extremely lightweight (more so than I anticipated), with a plastic casing and exterior. The cord is a normal cord (not extension cord thickness) and only extends 3.5 feet.

Although this is intended to be for indoor use, due to us having a parrot, we tend not to leave the exterior doors opened, therefore we have opted to bring it in and out of the house when we lounge outside in the evenings. With this purpose, the cord is not long enough, but we have a window ledge right underneath the power outlet outside, so it is not of great concern.

It has fallen once off the ledge when Husband bumped it, but it stayed intact and the fall has not affected its purpose.

The unit itself is quite quiet – if used inside, it would actually be like a quieter white noise machine and would be quite peaceful to fall asleep to.

I like that no chemicals are used or required – therefore, it is a self sufficient unit that we can use safely around our parrots and dogs.

I am not keen on having the unscrew the basket for cleaning, but having mosquitos NOT attack us vs the machine is an acceptable compromise. A click-in system would have been optimal for easier cleaning. There is a small brush included to whisk the bug carcasses off the trap net – and it does the job. Alternatively a non-wired Barbeque brush would work more efficiently.

The machine itself works well – protecting us from mosquito attacks during the evening – the sound of the bug zapping is like music to our ears and makes our outdoor space livable. I do not believe this unit is waterproof, so do NOT leave it outside if this is your intent!

The vendor also provided us with two Bugs Free Bracelets, which have 18 hours of mosquito repellent with Deet within them and a resealable bag for multiple uses. I used this while gardening the other evening, and it also performed quite well. I did not receive any mosquito bites! These are going in the camping box!

Overall, apart from the short cord and screws for removing the cover, this is a solid little unit with a lot of power.
