These brushes are pretty good for this price point, but I had a couple of issues with them. Some of the hairs came out sticking out and out of place, which can really interfere with making clean lines and I found the fan brush to be a little strangely sparse, but this is a budget set of brushes, so great for kids or beginner's who don't want to spend much.
There's a nice array of shapes and thicknesses here as well as a pallette knife and pallette to use with your brush set. Unfortunately the sponge arrived squashed and I discarded it, thinking it was part of the packaging, whoops.
I really love the stand, as it's a super easy way to store your brushes and having them tilted up, makes it easy to grab different brushes as you work.
I would recommend these for watercolor rather than acrylics if, like me, you paint very thick undiluted acrylics, as I found these to pick up water very easily. This would definitely be a pro for someone who does watercolors or likes to dilute their paint a lot.
There was no shedding or breakage of any kind during my time using them.
- Good array of brushes.
- Comes with stand/holder, pallette, palette knife and sponge.
- No shedding.
- Absorbs water easily (depending on medium/preference)
- Absorb water easily.
Protip: The brushes come sealed, so make sure to wet them and flex them gently to unseal the hairs and use the brushes. Do not push hard or mash the hardened tip against something or you risk ruining your brushes. If using acrylics or watercolors simply clean with a gentle soap and water.
