Actually safe for sensitive skin!

I bought this mask while getting my usual Avene sensitive skin moisturizer. I have acne, sensitive skin, and was recently diagnosed with Rosacea, so I have to be really careful with what I put on my face. This mask is fantastic. It doesn't sting at all, even when my skin is red and irritated. It provides moisture and has no scent. My skin felt really smooth afterwards. I will 100% buy this again.

I use this as a rescue for my super dry and flaky skin. I don’t use it like a mask, I either apply it at night like a night cream, or wear it all day. It doesn’t get too greasy so it totally works as a super hydrating cream

So So Soft!

After an extremely cold winter, this is exactly what my dried out skin needed. Its simple enough to use and it really does hydrate your skin so well. The Avene line is my go to line for all my skin care needs now.

This winter I have been having a stubborn dry patch on my forehead that doesn't want to disappear so I have been using moisture masks at least twice a week. This mask is light and creamy and my skin just seems to drink it up. Although the instructions say to leave it on for 10-15 minutes I just leave it on as a moisturizing cream and I love how it makes my skin look. If you have oily skin or are prone to breakouts it would be advisable to follow the directions. For my normal to combination skin this technique leaves it feeling fresh, plump and well hydrated. I have been alternating between a few other moisturizing cream masks however if I have any redness or irritation Avene is the brand I use and have been for twenty years.

Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

As someone who tends to use sheet mask and overnight masks for one reason over the other, I really enjoyed using this wash off mask. Avene Soothing Moisture Mask does what it claims, it soothes, hydrates and moisturizes, especially to those have sensitive to ultra sensitive skin that may be experiencing some sort of irritation or people who may be using medical skincare treatments. The mask is good to use all year round It is expensive for how much you get as it is $35.50 Canadain dollars but little goes a long way as it is lightweight yet concentrated formula.

I have had a few trials of this and really like it so I bought the bottle. I found that my complexion is much more dehydrated than I thought. I put it on following directions on label, and it says to leave on for 15 minutes then use a cotton pad to wipe off the excess. I didn't have any excess left to wipe off!! It soaked up completely. But it was super nice and my skin was wonderfully soft and plump and healthy looking. I now use this 1 x a week and apply a decent even layer on face/neck and still after 3 weeks it still totally absorbs without me having to wipe off.

I am trying to drink more water and talked to the cosmetition at the Avene Counter and she said not to worry, everyone's skin is different, and it may not be that I am not drinking enough water, it may be hormones, stress, skin type etc.

I am very happy with this product and it is a good extra dose of deep moisture that is allergy free and hypoallergenic and made with thermal spring water.

Excellent for sensitive and dry skin. I use this at night at times when I feel like my skin is drier than normal (especially during winter months). It doesn't feel too heavy or too light, just right.

I love this mask. It's super gentle on my dry, sensitive skin. Feels cool and moisturizing. It's thicker and stays put where you spread it. Leaves skin soft, smooth and hydrated.

Directions:
"Apply generously in a thick layer to dry face and neck. Allow to absorb for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently tissue off any excess. Finish by spraying a fine mist of Avène Thermal Spring Water. Can be used once or twice a week, according to the skin type and condition."
I don't always apply the thermal water afterwards, since I don't find that it makes a huge difference. If you happen to own thermal water to begin with, try it out if you desire more moisture and freshness.

Results:
No matter what, my face always looks the absolute best when I wake up after using this mask before bed. No redness, no congestion, no excess oil. Just happy, plump, smooth skin. Without a doubt, this treatment will be the product I stock up on at the Pharmacie when I venture off to France in July. No wonder all of the top makeup artists swear by it!
