I love my Blackberry Curve, it is my first phone on a contract and I didn't have to pay anything for it. It is easy to navigate through, although I wish the main screen was permanently set to frequent rather than all apps. I use mine to access facebook, read texts, and make phonecalls. The battery life is usually pretty good, it will last almost all day if i use it non stop. My curve hasn't frozen up on me too often in the 8 months I have had it, probably once or twice. I have no case for it and have a tendancy to drop my phones. this one has fallen about 30 times and only has a couple minor scratches, it is very durable. I would highly reccomend it!

Ive had this phone for a year or so now and have had nothing but problems with. One thing after the other things keep going on it. It constantly freezes, doesnt send messages or wont load certain apps. Anyone wanting to buy this phone i wouldnt reccommend to. Give it a few years or less and I dont think it'll be around anymore

I had a blackberry for a long time. I now have a touch screen something. I hate it, I miss my blackberry. It's keyboard is like no other, it is simply great.

After my Palm Pre bit the dust and was no longer available, I decided to try the overly hyped Blackberry. My selection was the purple Blackberry Curve 8520.

The look and feel: I hated. Coming from my Pre, the Blackberry felt cheap and I was scared I would break it.

Performance: I was not impressed. From the very day I got my phone 1.5 years ago, it has always froze and required a battery pull to bring it around. I find it very limiting with it's options for web browsers, and do not care for how it works with Wi-Fi.

It is however still working, so it's lasted longer than I thought it would. I'm one eager chick to see this contract go by faster - good-bye Blackberry!

Wouldn't buy again, and wouldn't recommend. Sorry Blackberry!

I was a blackberry curve girl for years. Briefly switched to the iPhone, then went back to blackberry, but I'm now back with the iPhone again after blackberry wasn't able to keep up with the fun features on the iPhone in the years my contract was going on.
One big plus about this is the sturdy construction. The curves are built to last and the only issue I ever had with the older models are the need to clean the trackball every once in awhile. The newer curve models that got rid of the trackball worked even better. The buttons make it easy to text and reply to emails so the blackberry is still great for business users. But the limited selection of fun apps and the lack of convenient navigation from websites to contacts to messages made me go back to Apple again.

Hope blackberry is able to get things together again since I would be willing to retry them again after years of being a loyal curve user.

This review is on the BB Curve 3G - 9800.

The keyboard on this baby is beautiful just like on all curves. Spaced perfectly, it's very comfortable to hold and use. It has all the high end 3G / blutooth / wifi qualities of its bigger Bold brother, but comes in a durable, smaller, more comfortable unit. The camera on it is average, but then again a BB is a tool, not a toy, so I don't technically expect the camera to be *that* good. I've used it for 2years now without a problem. It is very reliable, easy to troubleshoot and very durable.

Of all the curves so far this is by far the best. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a BB Curve.

I am so disappointed in my blackberry curve. I have had it for over a year now and it keeps getting worse.
First of all it constantly freezes to a point where I have to take the battery off to restart it, and yes the software is up-to-date. It tends to "unlock" a lot when I'm not even using it, its slow and unreliable. Counting down the days till my contract is up so I can get an iPhone!

Well, I felt like doing this review because I'd heard a lot of mixed reviews on this product. I got it a year ago because I was sick of using my generic brick-phone (similar to one of those Nokia bricks, but not).

Even now, a year and a bit later, I've been hearing about how quickly Blackberries break. I don't think this is true if you're properly taking care of it. My internet is a little slow, but once I visit a few pages it gets faster and I have no issues with it. My email works great on the phone; it's very convenient for me! I put reminders on my phone if I need to do something or if I have an appointment; there's a task list and a memo pad as well. Each of these are useful for me!

A year ago when I bought this phone, everyone had one; everyone wanted one. Now, not so much though there are still many people with a Blackberry. I think it'll stay; they'll come out with newer models and possibly rewire what's available in terms of apps and such, but the idea of a smartphone will not disappear. They're so convenient, I can't even imagine my life without one!

I cannot remember the price when I bought it, but I do remember that it was quite expensive. I bought a plan, so it wasn't anywhere near what buying the phone without a plan would be (between 4-500 bucks!), which is still good on its own.

Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for an easy way to keep track of their schedule and an easy way to access email and contact people.

I originally had a blackberry 8320 which had a problem with it's operating system. The phone was good and I loved it. the keys where a bit hard to use as they were small but it was a great phone with a clear screen and clear tone during calls. When they replaced my phone i got a blackberry curve 8900 this is phone is a must over the 8320. The camera is fantastic absolutely clear, the keys are easier to use and all in all it is just a better phone. I don't think after getting a blackberry I will be able to go back to a normal phone.
