I have thin and straight eyelashes that refuse to cooperate on most days. This mascara works well, it lengthened and curled my lashes. The formula is not clumpy and the brush allows for good application.
Wow... what can I say. I am an AVID mascara user and have bought and tested such an incredible amount of mascaras in the past, I couldn't possibly begin to tell you how many; drugstore, high end, everything in between. I can't go through a day without mascaras, and for people who, like me, don't wear any eye shadows, liners, or anything else on their eyes, cheeks, lips or faces (no other makeup), well you simply cannot forego a touch of mascara wand, if you want to step out of the house looking totally like yourself, but with the most incredibly minimal amount of makeup on your face (mascara), so you look entirely like YOU, but still look clean, polished, and elegant. (It's basically like when you fix your hair in the morning, lashes are hairs on your eyes that need polishing too, everything else on your face should be left as is) SO... I came across the Bobbi Brown Everything mascara, which was offered to my love, my mother, as a sample gift with her 100+ purchase at Sephora's, which she, then gave to me, since her awareness of my age-old quest. Since the very first time I used this mascara, it was LOVE at first application... I simply stood there, in awe and amazement, as I glared at my lashes through the mirror, it seemed like everything I could have ever desired from a mascara, was right there in this little tube of black wax, coincidentally named just as it should be, right on the bottle ; "Everything" Mascara. It resembled like a sort of a movie moment, with the lights shining down on the mascara from above and a harp and chorus sound playing, going like ; HAHHHHH..... The quest was over, and it felt like the first drink of water after an arid journey in the desert. This mascara is creamy, rich, lush, incredibly pigmented, waxy yet light, not runny AT ALL (let's be real, obviously if you don't watch your application, it will stamp all over), I mean, the consistency itself, is so great though, that you can build up SEVERAL layers of mascara without accidentally rubbing it off of your lashes with each new building layer, and without it going gummy and disgusting after the first delicate brushing of the wand. It also doesn't go out dry, as soon as the second time your opening and using your mascara, (like almost every other mascara does, this one stays fresh and new for a very loooong time). Basically it does, and covers up, all areas of content, that a mascara is supposed to deliver: (the incredibly richness and creaminess, not like those other supposedly not cheap no delivery mascaras) that you have to swipe on ten times before you get the slightest bit of texture and color. It's deep and pigmented, so one swipe delivers all that you're waiting for it to, (two swipes if you're going to stun the neighborhood), and above all, for people who are already dark (brunettes or black-haired) it looks more natural ( I don't know how they did it) then any other black mascaras out there, (Benefit, Lancôme, Lise Watier, you name it). It literally is like the champion of all mascaras. Friends, with such an incredible performance, you can't hate on this mascara, if you go ahead and swipe it on, and without it drying for a single second, start batting your eyelashes and then wonder why there is a tiny spec of mascara around your eyelids( ALL mascaras need a minimal amount of a few seconds of drying time, and the right angle of application, before you can go on with the rest of your routine or whatever else). So, I don't know if there is a waterproof version of this mascara, ( I myself don't need it, but go ahead and ask for it if you really need that at Sephora, or even some high end make-up stores that might carry it). And now, for the last point of all ; pricing info. I bought mine at a fairly expensive price : 35 bucks with taxes at Murale, since I'm Canadian and live in Montreal, but with the lasting length of this product, the satisfaction with the product itself, and considering that I won't be needing to complement it with another mascara, or buy another one any-time soon, I find that the quality fills in, for the lack of a better price. I have heard though, that the regular sized one is cheaper in the states, like 22 or something, and that they also carry the mini sample version for 11 bucks at some of your Sephora stores, so there you go, our lucky ass neighbors. So yea... That's it, hopefully it helped all of y'all out.
