One of our cats is on the chubby side and since changing his diet has not helped, we are trying to make him move more. The tough thing is, the slim cats love to play while he will half-heatedly swipe at a toy once and then sit back down. He loves the DaBird toy, but is a little vicious when he catches the "birdie" and we were going through expensive attachments like crazy. When they were sold out, the pet store recommended we try the Boinks Bamboozler instead. It has a heavy duty bamboo stick that is long enough that your hand is out of claws' way and a mesh attachment that makes a wooosh sound as you move it. All four of our cats go crazy for it (we have to lock the kitten up to the the older ones play) and our chubster never tires of it.
