When I think of gelato, I picture the creamy, decadent Italian treat. The quality should set it above the normal ice cream we're accustomed to buying at the grocery store or ice cream shop. I was excited when I saw Chapman's came out with a Gelato line of products and was ready to reminisce my time in Italy as I tasted every spoonful. Unfortunately, this came nowhere close to what gelato should taste like. I feel they just gave their line fancy flavours, like Vanilla "bean" instead of just your regular vanilla but that's about it. I actually prefer the taste of their regular ice cream over this. Their gelato was not as smooth and very hard to scoop into an ice cream cone. It kept crumbling into tiny pieces and I just gave up and ate it in a cup instead. I won't be repurchasing as I feel I'm paying extra just for the "gelato" name and not the product itself.
