Ingredients:
2 cups of McCain® Diced Hashbrowns
1 cup of ham, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch strips
1 whole apple, chopped small
1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
2 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and fresh ground pepper
1 cup grated (4 ounces) Gruyère cheese
1/8 cup all purpose flour
2 pieces scallions, chopped
Preheat oven to 450°F. Lightly butter an 8 inch baking dish. Set aside.
Preheat two small skillets over medium-high heat and sauté McCain® Breakfast Diced Hashbrowns as per instructions on package, remove from heat and place to the side.
In separate skillet add ham stirring occasionally until pieces start to brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Add onions and chopped apples, stirring occasionally until onions are slightly brown, 5 to 6 minutes. Transfer mixture to a plate and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl whisk eggs, cream, all purpose flour, ¼ tsp salt and 1/8 tsp ground black pepper. Add cooked McCain® Diced Hashbrowns, onion and apple mixture, and ¾ of the Gruyere cheese, mix well. Place mixture in baking dish and top with remaining Gruyère cheese.
Cooked uncovered for 25 mins. Remove from oven, garnish with chopped scallions and serve.

Tried this recipe over the weekend and it was just amazing. The ingredients were so simple and the whole process was simple and quick but the flavor was to die for.
I tried this recipe this week and my family just loved this!!!! It is very quick to prepare - I used cream of chicken soup. It was delicious. We will definitely make this again.
From start to finish this was easy to follow and great tasting recipe. The apple lends a subtle sweetness to this dish and the Gruyere, one of my favourites gives the casserole and amazing flavour. Filled with an array of wonderful tastes and textures this has already become a new Sunday brunch favorite in our home.
I made it last Sunday and my family loved it. It took just a few easy to have on hand ingredients and very quick to prepare. It was delicious. It was a amazing brunch for easter. All my family were very impressed.
This is a super fast and yummy recipe that is easy to make. The entire family will enjoy and will be asking for it again and again!! I also use cheddar cheese and dont use the apples

This casserole is delicious! I don't use ham and instead I like bacon in mine. I also use cheddar cheese instead. It is very easy to assemble and it always turns out great!

C'est une recette tellement facile à faire. J'avais une recette semblable mais celle-ci est encore plus goûteuse. Ma famille l'a vraiment appréciée et ce n'est pas long à faire, même les enfants peuvent mettre les mains à la pâte. Avec le goût de gruyère qui rehausse les saveurs, c'est tout simplement délicieux.
