Coconut Body Butter by The Body Shop

A nice coconut smell...not the tanning-oil super-strong tropical beach kind you may think of when you hear "coconut." It's pretty mild, and has almost a ricey-vanilla smell to it. Most people would probably really, really like this product, but I'm a little picky when it comes to lotions. In this case, this one was too thick for me. Whenever my legs touch and stick together, I hate it. That seemed to happen a lot with this body butter, and it never really seemed to soak in. It's really thick in the container (pretty much solid...literally almost butter texture) and sticks to your fingers (and whatever else you put it on) like a five-year-old's jam covered fingers. Therefore, I found this product a little irritating. On the other hand, it did it's job. My legs WERE softer the next day, even if I had been ripping my hair out over it the night before.

A good product for most, just not for me.

Love this body butter, it was my saving grace since being burned to a crisp in mexico. Its greasy when you put it on but eventually absorbs to a nice moist effect. It smells like you're on vacation and you get a huge tub so you can slather it on to your heart's content. (sometimes i just open the tub to get a wiff of my vacation... *sigh*) YUM!

This is my absolute FAVOURITE body butter!! Its texture and performance are the same as all the other body butters, but I find that this one somehow sinks in easier, and doesn't leave my skin as greasy. The best part about it though is the smell. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the scent of coconut, and always get compliments on how good I smell when I use this product. I love body butters as opposed to using perfume because it hydrates my skin AND smells great at the same time, and this product is the best of the bunch when it comes to achieving this. I ALWAYS have some at home :)

This stuff is great!!!! I love it. Not to mention it smells so great on my skin and really keeps me smooth and moisturized. I use this on my cheeks before I go skiing and my face does not get chapped at all. I totally recomend this product to anyone who has dry skin and is looking to soften up.

I looove coconut and this is the most true to the real thing that i've used. It melts in and makes your skin soo smooth. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey.

I really like fruit smells so this product it's perfect for me. Intense coconut scent and unbelievable smoothness in my skin. My legs fells like velvet. I really love their products, I also tried the strawberry body butter and I highly recommend.

When I want to get my brain into summer mode, I lather on this body butter on. It moisturizes really well, and the scent is just summerlicious. The only downside - it leaves a greasy feel on your skin.

I wish there were a recommendation level in between "You Betcha!" and "Fugheddaboutit!". I dunno, something like..."Ya, but..." because I'd use that one for this butter. I used to work for The Body Shop and so I remember how this butter used to be before it was reformulated. They were much more distinctive in texture but then TBS decided to put Shea Butter in every dang butter. So I'm a bit biased against the newer Coconut BB, but...it does the job. It is very coconut-y so if you don't like the smell, avoid it. There is actual coconut oil in it. If it's too thick microwave it for about 30 seconds to loosen it up (feels divine in the winter after you come in from freezing your butt off!). Or if you still have a separate hard drive for your computer, like I do, put the butter on top for about 20 minutes (when the computer is on) and it'll warm up.

This is one of the all-time best body butters that the Body Shop has to offer. The scent lasts all day and it leaves your skin feeling smooth, silky, and healthy. I love using this in the summertime the most. Coconut is such a great scent. I'll use it in the winter sometimes when I want to "think warmer". I'd say this is one of the top five body butters for sure!
