Quite pricey
As soon as I feel the first sign of a sniffle I’m into the Vitamin C and Echinacea! But I have also discovered Cold FX At the first signs of a cold, you take these capsules over a week (starting off with a higher dose) and I have definitely had them twart off a cold/flu unless on sale, or with a coupon, they are quite pricey! A dozen oranges may also do the same thing 🤷♀️
I found for me that you must take this as soon as or before you find a cold coming on. I have found much better cold relief products that are more effective for me like Advil Flu and Cold or Night Quill.
I received some sample to test it out. I heard all the hype about it, so decided to test It out when I get the flu. It did not work for me at all. Resting and drinking hot honey lemon water helped me a lot more better than Cold Fx. Don't waste your money!
The Cold-FX preventative capsules/supplements are just that. They can help prevent a cold or flu, but it does not treat it once you do get sick. Basically, the instructions are to take the capsules when you feel the onset of a cold or flu or you can take it during cold and flu season to help boost your immune system. However, the only thing that truly prevents us getting sick is to wash our hands really well and constantly. I tried the extra strength formula and I still got sick. What I expected was that you only needed to take one capsule a day, sort of like a multivitamin. However, the recommended use for adults and children 12 years of age or older, is to consume up to 12 capsules in just 3 days! I don't know if they've changed their recommendations or formulations recently, but this really threw me off. I, for one, am not a big fan of taking any sort of medication, especially in pill/capsule form which I find hard to swallow, so this number was a little too high for me. I don't think I'll ever consider buying this product (I received mine free from my place of work). Grandma's chicken soup works just fine, if not better, for me!
