Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief 75ml - works by plugging the channels that lead to sensitive tooth nerves, to block the pain. With regular use, it builds a long lasting protective barrier that acts like a seal against sensitivity
Average Price: $5.00
Received several samples from my dentist for this toothpaste after trying others formulated for sensitivity. Noticed NOTHING different. The price for sensitive toothpastes are really high, and for the effectiveness of this product it's not worth the investment. Very disappointed, and glad that I didn't invest the cash for a product that does not do what it claims.
It's not that this is a bad toothpaste, it's actually pretty good at fighting sensitivity. However, I did find a bit more sensitivity when eating extremely cold foods like ice cream, that wasn't there when using my regular sensitive toothpaste. This is a bit cheaper than my normal sensitive toothpaste though so it could be a good option when you're on a budget.
I like the consistency and it feels pleasant on the teeth and while it has a nice minty taste, it does have a hint of that 'baking soda' type flavour that I've tasted before in baking soda based toothpastes, so if that kind of taste bothers you, this might not be for you.
+ Great job cleaning teeth and keeping them clean.
+ Average to good job protecting against sensitivity.
+ Good value.
+ Consistency is nice.
- 'Baking Soda' taste is off-putting.
- Not as good as my regular sensitive toothpaste at preventing sensitivity.
I quite like this toothpaste. It goes on sale often, and the tube lasts a solid month with both myself and my husband using it. I like how it foams up, I like the minty freshness, and I like the way my mouth feels after I use it. I do not have sensitive teeth, however so I cannot comment on the efficacy of that component (though my husband claims Sensodyne still works better for that).
I got this as a sample size from my dentist because I have tooth sensitivity issues. This works immediately. My dentist told me I could even apply to the sensitive teeth and just leave it there and I would also get relief that way. I find it even brightens my teeth up and I like the suds. I know I am getting a good brushing when it starts sudsing. There is nothing I dislike more than a toothpaste that does not foam up when you are brushing. This has a nice peppermint taste and really freshens my breath too.
I love the taste. It has been helping with my tooth sensitivity and i have been using it for about 4 years. The price is reasonable but i also stock up whenever it goes on sale
Recommended by a friend who thought that other companies are coming up with toothpaste for sensitive teeth that is most likely just as good as the brand I currently use. After 6 months of use I noticed that my teeth became sensitive to cold again. Great as a toothpaste for people with no sensitivity issues or just a toothpaste for emergency days when you have no other choice.
I love this toothpaste. I developed sensitive areas in my teeth following a dental procedure and had to switch from regular toothpaste to a sensitive version. I tried several brands and this was the only brand that actually worked. It took about 4 days for the sensitivity to disappear but even on the first day I noticed a difference. This is now a regular product for me.
This is the only toothpaste I have found that helps with the sensitivity in my teeth. I buy the enamel repair formula to help rebuild and protect my enamel.
One of my favorite brands for sensitive relief. The taste is refreshing and long lasting and of course the protection is perfect. I've had issues with sensitive teeth for a long time. I would totally recommend this to anyone that has these issues.
This toothpaste is very effective for everyday use or for temporary direct application when in pain. It has a good taste and texture. Everyone I know who uses it is very satisfied!
