Not the best buy

I wanted to try this brand so I order this lipstick and I didn't really like it. The applicator is really annoying to use and the actual lipstick is lighter than I expected.

Not my favorite.

Overall I have to say I am not a huge fan of colopop cosmetics. i find that their cheap prices compliment the cheapness of the products. I didn't love the quality or effectiveness of the matte lipsticks. Your better off saving your money & splurging on something better, higher quality.

Butthole Lips Galore

I love Colourpop lip products. Literally every other lip product they produce is amazing. This formula however is super drying!! I have it in the shade Aquarius which is a beautiful colour. However when I put it on you can see every line in my lips and it starts peeling once it gets closer to the inside of my lip. This lipstick is the definition of butthole lips. I pair this with the matching colourpop Aquarius gloss and it does just fine but obviously is no longer Matte. I would recommend their Lippie stix if you want a Matte look or their Ultra Satin lippies that look way better on the lips.

Was expecting more

Colourpop is so hyped up I had high expectations. But I hit disappointed. It gets really dry after applying and I don't find the colour stays on long. Sad cause I really wanted to like it.

Great colours, but texture is not for me

I have thin lips already, and the thickness of the lipstick was just too much, which is sad because the colours I got (Clueless and Midi) are beautiful. The colours also differ between the photo and the actual product, which doesn't seem promising... Oh well. To each their own!

Colourpop is amazing, and it might just be me, but I hate how dry this lipstick left my lips.
I know matte dries differently than a regular, but my lips were so pasty I almost couldn't separate them.
probably won't be purchasing this again.

honestly I love colour pop it is hands down one of my favourite makeup brands, but their matte lipstick are such a miss (which is what made them famous) I have a few shades and they are honestly so overrated. They are drying for one and make my lips crack no matter how moisterized I make them before. Also they are not long lasting at all, I can apply this before I go out and it will be warn off within an hour or less if im eating or drinking. Honestly it is not worth it, they are only $5 but use that money to put towards buying a slightly more expensive lipstick that actually lasts. I highly reccommend NYX lingerie liquid lipsticks they have beautiful colours and are maybe $3 dollars more but actually stay on a really long time even through eating and drinking. If you are buying through colour pop (which I still reccomend) their eyeshadows are bomb and highlighters/lipglosses and 100% worth it.

These are a great starting point for people who want to get into the ultra matte lip trend without breaking the bank. The colour selection is out of this world - there is virtually every single colour that anyone would dream of wearing, from nudes to reds and even blue and green. However, the product dries extremely quickly on the lips, which can make it difficult to apply for beginners. It also dries your lips, flakes easily, and sinks into your lip lines the longer you wear it. If you want to try a liquid lip from colourpop, I would suggest sticking with they Ultra Satin Lip line over this one - it's a comfortable, lightweight formula that lasts for a long time and dries down to a natural, if not somewhat matte finish.

I purchased several colours of these matte liquid lipsticks hoping they would be my answer to no transferring-stay put colour. I had heard they were really drying and thought maybe they would dry down completely on me. Sadly they did not. They transferred and moved around, wore off quickly and irritated my lips.

On the positive side, they come in a ton of gorgeous colours and are very affordable.

I have bought many Ultra Matte lippies from Colourpop. The price is great! They are only $6 usd. However, the colours never look the same as the swatches (at least on me) The one color that I LOVE (Lax) it goes on really really patchy. For all the ultra mattes a good make up remover is needed as they are super hard to come off. Which is a good thing if it stayed on the whole lip throughout the day but it doesn't, it always comes off in the middle so you have a ring around your lips only. I want to love these but I don't. I do love the eyeshadow though!!
