CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast

Absolutely love this primer & eyeshadow combination. The available colours are so rich, and beautiful. This applies as a liquid, and then dries to a powdered shadow. I found that this provided a long lasting wear.

I decided to try this because i like how convenient and easy to apply it is.

I have the purple plum (810) and i think its perfect for those crazy, I'm late mornings)
You just roll on your eyelids and finish with the darker color

Its very cheap and effective

I bought this product (with a mailed out manufacturer's coupon thank heavens) as I much prefer cream eyeshadows for application, richness of colour and longevity.

I can say unequivocally that with this product you should pay the cash and move up to a boutique brand such as Clinique or Pout for quality.

The applicator splotched on an uncontrollable amount with the graceful and useful-ness as a wet noodle.

The eyeshadow itself felt wet and seemed to take a while to dry, while gravity settled it into the crease of my eyelid, ruining the look I had intended.

Sorry, but this is not a winner Covergirl.

I was excited to try this as it claims to have built in primer and I'm tired of the creases I see by the end of the day.

Sadly, this product started to crease within 10 minutes of applying it to my eyelids and would only last until noon if I used it as a base/primer for another eye shadow colour.

I recieved this product from Chick Advisor when I won the weekly contest! :) I was really excited to test the product out. I got this product in the shade brown bling.

The packaging: This product comes in a see through tube with a twist off applicator wand. When you remove the wand there is a controlled amount of product on it. It's nothing too out of the ordinary.

The product: CG claims that this product has a built in primer that makes it last. Although there is no specifications as to how long it lasts I was still curious. Primer is usually made to make the shadow stay all day. Of course, I decided immediately I needed to test it out. When I apply eyeshadow normally, I will always apply a primer to prevent creasing and make it last. I was skeptical because it is a cream shadow, and cream shadows are renound for creasing. I got ready for work and applied it all over my lids. I used the wand and put a bit of the product on my lid and then blended it with my finger to make sure it wasn't appplied too thickly. It dried, I apllied my mascara and off I went. I noticed around noon that the shadow was creasing very badly which wasn't appealing at all. It was a little disappointing to be honest. The colour of the shadow is very rich and pigmented though. I would definitely reccommend that if you want to wear this product, you will need to apply an actual primer before using it.

The price: As I said before, I did recieve this product free. However, in stores, it retails for about ten dollars. I do feel like CG products are quite expensive anymore and their products are semi hit or miss. It seems kind of pricey for the product.

Overall: It's an ok product. I like the richness of the colour. I'm not so in love with the fact that it does crease unless you have an actual primer underneath. Would I buy it? Probably not, unless it was on sale.

For me, this product is just ok. It's pretty but the primer is definitely not as prominent as I had hoped..

A waterproof eyeshadow with built in primer. So I have to say this eyeshadow stayed put for a lot longer than I thought it would. It lasted for about 5-6 hours w/o additional primer then started creasing, so not too shabby! I still put a primer on before applying and it lasts all day. I have this in brown bling, extreme green and blue bomb. Drew Barrymore is wearing the blue bomb in the ad. The brown bling caught me off guard because when put on it has a pearlescent look to it not a matte brown. The color in the tube is representative to how it goes on. I like this product and would recommend it.
