I know, I know. What was I expecting, purchasing ice cleats from the Dollarama? I was just curious to see what they were like. The rubber was not that different from the other inexpensive aids and was actually thicker, which made it less likely to break. The long spikes were cylinder in shape and appeared to be made out of steel. With care, they did not rust. They did okay in keeping me from slipping while on the slippery trails, but were not perfect. One benefit that they had that the more pricey microspikes did not have was the ability to not have ice ball up underneath on a warm day.
This was an okay option for those who have small footwear and who are not doing anything strenuous.
