Perfect mixture of dark and milk chocolate. Was skeptical to try Dove chocolate, but after this bar I'm glad I did.

I was pleasantly surprised at this chocolate. Since I usually gravitate toward Lindt, I didn't expect to enjoy Dove as much as I did. I agree, too, with MissChickie that the packaging is brilliant and the little individually wrapped choco-bites are a welcome substitute for the usual Hershey's Kisses.

My verdict: better than your usual supermarket variety, but a little expensive. I'd buy it again!

I received a Dove pleasure kit as part of a promotion they are doing to get influential web Chicks to try their new products.

The Dusk chocolate, which is a mix of dark and milk was the one I liked the best. They come as a bar or in individually wrapped morsels with cute messages on the wrapper like "Remember your first" or "Eat dessert first", etc. These chocolates are brilliantly marketed and the packaging is quite cute and appealing.

The flavour is nice but I have had better. I do not eat chocolate with chemicals or artificial flavours in it. For that reason I do not eat "candy bars" (i.e all of the usual suspects you'd find in a vending machine or at the grocery check out).Unfortunately these have artificial flavours and I could tell that right away before I looked at the label. The taste reminds me of the easter chocolates I used to get from my great grandmother as a kid. While there is something sweet about that, it also put me off a little. Easter chocolates aren't exactly known for their quality ingredients, so I wouldn't buy this for myself. Nestle Noir makes a range of bars at the same price point that I much prefer over these that do not have any chemicals or artificial flavours.

Having said that I tried to give them a fair shake and ignore my inner snob. The taste and texture are creamy and smooth and it isn't overly sweet. The bite sized ones are easy to snack on and eat quite a few before you realize what you've done. Then follows the regret. I didn't find myself craving these and preferred to give them away than to eat them myself.

I shared these with a number of friends and they all loved them. One of my sisters loves these and asks for them whenever she comes over. In fact everyone I have shared these with has loved them so maybe I'm just too picky.

Bottom line: Thumbs down for me but you might like them so I can't say "fugheddaboutit"
