Chips immediately! Would not recommend

I have purchased many Essie nail polishes and get the same results every time. The polish chips horribly the next day, sometimes even the day of. I use base coat and top coat, have tried using Essie top and base coats, same results. Horrible product. I’ve tried adding multiple layers of the colour or 2 layers. Some colours apply very thin and splotchy. Would not recommend!!

Peels right off

I really wanted to like this polish.... but I hated it! It took forever to dry and then after one day it was peeling off, not just chipping. Literally the whole nail was peeling off in one piece. After two hours doing 5 coats of colour and a base coat and top coat (because the colour mademoiselle is practically clear otherwise) watching it peel away was so aggravating.

Don't understand the hype

Everyone I know always raves about Essie. I needed a good nail polish that would last through a weekend getaway. I picked a beautiful shade of pale blush and carefully applied two coats and a top coat. I allowed plenty of drying time inbetween coats. This was Thursday. By lunch on Friday, one of my nails was peeling and three others had chipped. I had to redo my nails before the trip! This time I used another brand that cost 1/4 the price of the Essie. It lasted 4 days before it chipped. Other than the beautiful colour, I thought Essie nail polish was rubbage.

terrible

I was excited when I bought my new essie nail polish and it is a disaster. I think other chipper nail polishes working much better than this $10 one. It is not staying longer on my nails than 2 days, I would not by it again!

Doesn't last

I bought a few of these because someone I trusted said the Polish was fantastic.

She was wrong.

No matter how you use it, Essie will always Crack, peel, just come off. I need a polish to last a few days. This doesn't last 2.

I tried. Over and over. The quality is just not there.

Essie is awful

Essie Nail Polishes come in a variety of shades and colors with very cute and creative names. However, that's about the only upside to this nail polish line. I have tried three or four different shades and had the same results with all of them. They go on very streaky with dragging and pulling and require at least three coats to even out color. I love the shape of the bottle, however, the brush was very thin and hard to work with. These polishes, IMO, are highly over-priced (8.50+) for what amounts to a drug store polish result. TBH, I've had better results with some cheaper drug store lines. Therefore, I will not be buying Essie again and would not recommend it. For the price I'd recommend OPI or Zoya.

Essie Polishes

Other than having a huge and beautiful variety of shades, I find the product itself to be overpriced and nothing special. Chips just as fast (or even faster) as any other drugstore polish on me.

In my humble opinion, these are the worst nail polishes on the market. I try to use the bus stop codes to extend the wear life, but they still don't last long enough. I'd recommend any nail polish over these.

Essie products are overrated! I hate how this nail polish goes on.. & the price you pay, you'd think the quality would be amazing.
