This scale was a lot lighter than I expected it to be. I'm constantly afraid that I'll break it when moving it around, but it seems sturdy enough when I use it - I just treat it carefully when moving and storing it in order to preserve its longevity. It is stainless steel but it's not clunky like other digital scales are. It's perfectly flat (minus the buttons) so it's easy to clean and provides a perfectly level field. The scale needs three AAA batteries (which are included) and the screen does have a section to display a low battery signal in order to warn you before it dies. The light for the screen is a soft blue so it's easy to see and I didn't even need to read the manual as it's pretty easy to figure out how to operate the scale.

Tap the power button once to turn it on or reset the scale (for example, if you want to fill a container with a certain amount without factoring in the weight of the container into it) and press and hold to turn it off (the scale also turns off by itself after a short period of unuse). The unit button is also easy enough to understand; whatever unit of measurement you need to use, it's there and can be set by cycling through the options. Pressing the buttons does trigger the weighing mechanism, so make sure to move your fingers off the scale as it is sensitive. I compared the measurements to a manual food scale (as best as one can considering there are no exact numbers) to make sure that it was reading accurately and it was.

I've always wanted a digital scale so I'm pleased that I was able to get a good product on my first try. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight, easily stored scale.

The scale is a stainless steel which makes it look nice and clean up nice. I leave it out on my counter but it is easily able to be stored due to how thin and light it is. I had no problems with weighing anything and I checked it multiple times for consistency and every time it was spot on. The back-light is very bright and nice on the eyes and the numbers are nice and large. It turns off after a minute or two to save the battery. While I did receive this at a discount for my honest review, I was not compensated or persuaded to give it a positive review. This scale is beautiful and works perfectly.

Nice sturdy scale made of high quality stainless steel. The bowl is easy to clean and when not in use the bottom portion of the scale fits in the bowl for easy hassle free storage. The screen is backlit which makes reading results in low light easier and the screen is large and clear. I really like the temp and timer features this scale provides. Most importantly this scale is accurate when comparing to my old one. Both results were identical.
