Fifty Shades of Grey Reviews
#6 in Books

Description

This book traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism.

Honestly, I didn't really enjoy this book. I felt like most of it was just taking about "How dreamy Christian" is but not too much in terms what this book was mainly about the steamy love scenes. I guess it could be considered a place to start for those who don't read many of the erotic novels but for myself, it didn't deserve all the hype.

Every body at work was raving about this book so I went out and bought it. I do no know why they liked it so much! I thought it was terrible. Book made no sense, read a couple of chapters then gave up.

This has to be the worst book that I have ever read. There was nothing interesting about the book. I didn't feel there was a real storyline to it and the sex scenes were boring. I couldn't find anything redeeming about Christian or Anastasia . Anastasia was dumbest lead female I had ever read in a book. Christian want to control everything is her life, I don't find that sexy. A lot of the book was worded like it was written by someone in junior high school . Both characters seem to have constant personality shifts, one minute they act like an adult the next minute they were very childish. Christian has mood swings like a young teenager girl going through hormonal changes.

Je n'ai pas vraiment aimé ce livre, simplement par goût. J'ai cependant aimé le film qui s'y rattache. Je crois que le livre en soit n'est pas mauvais, tout dépend de chacun !

I find it hard to believe that people actually enjoyed this book because I thought it was awful. The writing was terrible and extremely repetitive. The characters were not likable at all, and totally unrelatable.

Of course, I had to read these books because of all hype. There were okay. I found them to be quite repeatitive. I have them all on my bookshelf but I have no desire to pick them up to read them a second time.

I heard so much about Fifty Shades of Grey, and decided to read it. To be honest I am not really into erotica books. I read some of these type of books, and this is very different from what I have read. I disliked Christian's arrogance, and wanting to be in control. He knows many woman swoon from his good looks, being successful, and he took advantage of it. They do what he tells them, and signed a contract. Who signs a contract to be in a relationship with a guy? Even if it's just for sex? How pathetic. Anna even lets Christian spank her, and obeyed him. To me it seemed like abuse, like a controlling guy. Anna was warned he was bad for her. Even her friend didn't trust him. He wasn't into relationships, but still she wanted him. Even though they are two different people, yet Anna couldn't let him go. Was it the attraction? Seems more of low self-esteem and confidence that Anna allow a guy treat her the way he did. They broke up, well I wasn't surprised. How could she fall for him? He only used her body to satisfy his own needs, not her. It also makes me wonder why Christian doesn't like to be touched. Better yet, how Anna believes what they have is actual love. I must say this is the strangest book I ever read. Not only was it badly written, but it was repeated numerous times (which I found annoying). I don't see how great this book it, people make it a bigger deal than it is. It shouldn't be on the best seller's list. I completely understand why people are complaining about this book.

Meh. Really, really poorly written Twight fan fiction. Had interesting moments but overall, I felt it was a waste of my time reading it. Will not read it again.

This was a really poorly-written piece of Twilight fan fiction. If you indulge in it, do it solely for its current popularity and pop culture presence. Otherwise, don't expect anything. Labelling another woman as meek and another man as having semi-abusive issues.
