i find that this works best pair with garnier fructis's sleek & shine leave in conditioning cream. i spritz a little on my hair after i've used that, and it really helps to shape and define my curls. it doesn't leave them hard or crunchy looking. it makes my hair soft to the touch and very shiny. a little bit goes a long way. totally recommend it.
