The Minkanak Google cardboard kit is easy to set up, comes mostly premade, and takes less than five minutes to out together. That more than anything makes it a great beginner VR kit for anyone who wants to try out the Google cardboard VR experience.

The kit is designed to be used with a smartphone, and the instructions that come with are easy to follow. Once you download the app to get started, you just slip your phone into the kit and you can get started. You can hold the kit up to your face, which is comfortable enough, but it does come with an extra strip you can add to cushion your nose.

The kit also comes with Velcro straps that can be attached to the kit if you want to wear it without holding it up. There are no instructions for how to attach them, which is frustrating, but if you can figure it out yourself they make it a lot more comfortable to use.
