Finally! Both Ipsy and Luxe Box have arrived! - Here is my IPSY Glam Bag Review on Dec 21, 2013 @ 04:54 pm
Received my first Ipsy Glam Bag on December 18th!
Ipsy is based out of the USA and ships a monthly "Glam Bag" to Subscribers at a cost of $16.70 Canadian per month. I signed up for the Program in November and had to wait about 10 days before leaving the "Wait" List and being invited to Subscribe.
Here's what I received in my first Bag and my thoughts (good or bad!):
(1) Set of False Eyelashes made by Salon Perfect, Natural Eyelashes with Adhesive.
Think these will end up going to one of my Teenaged Daughters - as at 44 I would
probably end up gluing my eyelids shut or something!
(1) Mirabella Eye Blender Brush. This I will probably use - although I have never
heard of the brand and it does look a little cheaply made.
(1) J.Cat "Beauty" The Big Lip Pencil. Looks nice but not in a shade I would
probably ever wear. Another score for my Teenaged Daughters!
(1) POP Bright Up Your Life Eye Trio in "Smoking Hot" Greys - made by
Pop Beauty Cosmetics, again not a brand I am familiar with but will
definately use the colours!
(1) Be A Bomshell in Sunset. I must be showing my age again because I cannot figure
out if this is a cheek and lip stain or what! Will have to do a quick internet search to
figure it out! Not particularly a colour I would choose - so this may end up be
donated to my girls as well.
Overall - I would have to say I was not bowled over by the December Glam Bag. It seemed to this Chick that most of the items contained in my bag were more Drugstore Brand and not correctly matched to my profile (ie. age and colour). Though it is always fun to get a monthly surprise in the mail and I am going to give it a few more months to see if it gets better. All in all - not a bad value for the monthly cost and at least my girls are thrilled!
Hope this helps some of you looking at monthly beauty programs!
I will post the Luxe Box review shortly!
Cheers - Michelle
