Is is pretty much like most penne pastas. It takes a quick amount of time to reach al dente (7 minutes). It doesn't get soggy or mushy, but it firm. Great for a hot sauce or a cold pasta salad.
Italpasta Penne Rigate is a whole wheat penne with a whole lot of taste! I like to cook it slightly al dente and it has a great texture without going soft or mushy like some other whole wheat pastas I have tried. Doesn't taste too "grainy" and I would definitely recommend giving it a try!
