These are my new favorite treats, I was surprised at how many people didn't like them in other reviews. I have tried different ones but the dark chocolare coconut granola bars are my fav. I do try and grab these on sale because the price is a bit high compared to other bars. My only other issue is getting to eat them before my hubby or children finish them.

I wanted to try Kashi TLC Dark Chocolate Coconut Granola Bars because they looked delicious. Who wouldnt want to eat something that looked delicious, but was healthy at the same time? Well despite being healthy, they were gross. The dark chocolate tasted like nothing, it had that fake chocolate taste. The rest of the granola bar tasted like cardboard. I guess healthy does not always equal good.

Don't compare these bars to Quaker Chewy Dipps or another "regular" granola bar. They do taste different... but I love that difference!

Now, it's not a diet food, but with plenty of fiber and protein minus high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavours and preservatives, this is a really smart choice in snack food. The Dark Chocolate Coconut is my personal favourite of the Kashi bar family, but I've also tried and enjoyed several other flavours.

The lower layer is basically your standard oat bar with barley, rye, rice, buckwheat, sesame, corn, and more. The upper layer is a thick gooey dark chocolate and date blend topped with a sprinkling of walnuts and coconut shavings. In other words, you can feel good about this little indulgence!

Because these bars cost a little more than their conventional cousins, check Kashi's website and Facebook page where they occasionally offer giveaways and valuable coupons that makes the taste-testing phase painless - that's how I found out about them and was hooked.

Yucky, tasted like cardboard. Good thing they issued a challenge to all and sent a free coupon. This tasted and felt like cardboard worst granola bar i have ever eaten!!
