I just received this as a sample. Looks like I can get about 3-4 applications out of it (very nice for a sample). At first, the consistence was a bit different than I'm used to. It's very thick (a bit thicker than toothpaste). But it seems a little goes a long way. It absorbed fairly quickly into my skin. I applied it for the first time at night and by the morning my face was very smooth and not oily (my skin is typically oily and by morning it has a fair bit of oil on it). I'm not sure how it will do for firming my skin since I just have a sample, and I'm sure a sample won't really show those results. But as for a moisturizer, it seems pretty impressive. The price is pretty steep, $63 tax. Might have to wait for a sale or something to splurge on it.

one of my favorite face creams.i used this one before i found Kiehl's Abyssine with SPF23...
it's a "thick" cream(but goes a long way), not a milky lotion. it's easy to apply and you don't need much.it has a natural gentle scent and it's great for sensitive dry skin. i didn't get any breakouts, no greasy film or anything like that. it moisturizes the face really good(it's creamy and rich without making my skin greasy or shiny) and it stays that way the whole day,it softened the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles.(in winter and summer).i think also that it will give the skin a little mate finish what i really liked. the price of $63 sounds expensive but this product is worth it. you will not see any improvement over night, but you will see if you use it every day for a couple weeks. it's a great facial cream for dry skin or dry patches in your face. if you didn't find a great moisturizer yet that's maybe the one.

Kiehl's Facts:

Youth Regenerating Cream with Rare "Resurrection Flower"

This rich treatment helps to significantly improve the appearance of loss of firmness, lines and wrinkles. Our formula uses a rare “Resurrection Flower” known for its hydrating properties. It revitalizes formerly dry, lined skin.

Skin appears to be visibly firmer, denser and smoother for a younger looking appearance.

THE "RESURRECTION FLOWER"

The incredibly resilient "Resurrection Flower", Haberlea Rhodopensis, is able to survive up to 31 months of extreme dehydration. When proper moisture conditions are restored, it returns to life within hours.

VAI-tuh'-mihn EE

Vitamin E is a lipid soluble naturally found in plant leaves, cereal germ oils, and milk. It is known for its antioxidant and moisturizing properties.

GLIH-suh-rin'

Glycerin is a by-product of soap manufacturing and is a clear, syrupy liquid, usually derived from vegetable oil and obtained by adding alkalies to fats and fixed oils. It is a solvent humectant and emollient in many skin care products, as it absorbs moisture from the air and thereby helps products retain their moisture. It improves the spreadability of products and has definite skin moisturizing benefits.

Squalane

A healing botanical lipid with a high affinity for skin to instantly restore and replenish.

Haberlea rhodenpensis
Known as a regeneration flower, it is able to survive up to 31 months in a dry-out cycle. When proper moisture conditions are restored, it returns to life within hours. On skin, we were able to apply this ingenious mechanism to jolt cellular vitality, stimulating skin's own collagen and elastin production.

Lipids
Cocoa butter, shea butter and essential fatty acids such as oleic, stearic and palmatic acid that help to replenish lipid deficiency.
