I have been using this product since it was first introduced and love it! Only a little bit is needed which is good since it does come in a fairly small jar. There is no scent and the cream is light. Ensure that you do not apply too much as a little goes a long way. It goes well by itself, under foundation and powder. It's the most effective primer I've used.

This is the very first primer that I bought. At the time, I thought it was okay (quite thick but covered my pores well), but wanted to try other brands. After numerous other samples, nothing has beat this product. It is on my list to repurchase!

Bought this because i wanted to try a budgeted primer. It really does work, but on certain areas it felt a little thick. I bought it maybe 3 months ago? and I still have half a pot of it. I guess a little goes along way.

Tried this as a sample and very quickly bought the full size. I was surprised at how well the product worked, my makeup lasts much longer and no makeup creases in laugh lines!

I have combination-oily/ hyperpigmentation spotted skin, you know, the stuff girls have nightmares about.
I had wanted a good primer for quite a while but was iffy on spending my hard earned money on a $40 2 oz. tube of a high end base. After buying this on a whim, i immediately tested it and used way too much, my face felt oily and my makeup slid off my face after a few hours. After that wondrous disaster i tried using it very sparingly on top of The Body Shop seaweed mattifying day cream and WOW. My skin had never looked so good and my makeup had never stayed on so long before. It,thankfully, didn't allow my foundation and concealer to settle in those pesky little fine lines under my eyes and didn't cause the milia to return there. I ended up using it on my sister's dry/combination skin once and she cannot stop raving about it. I would reccomend this to anyone at all. Oily/dry/normal, it doesn't matter, this stuff is amazing. I'm on my second purchase of this now and i can't see myself not repurchasing this in the future.

To start off: I have combination, oily, acne-prone skin with hyperpigmentations
What the product claims:
L'Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer gives a velvet touch, the new primer from L'Oréal is a must-have if you want flawless skin. The primer smoothes, mattifies and refines the texture and tone of skin using high-tech, lightweight ingredients, such as elastomers and silicone oil. Soft, ultra fine powders also leave your skin silky and iridescent.
L'Oréal make-up artist James Kaliardos has this tip for gorgeous skin, 'Apply the Smoothing Resurfacing Primer on the shadowy areas, like the lower contour of the eye, and on the least smooth areas, such as the forehead, the sides of the nostrils and around the mouth, to stop lipstick from running.'
I have used several primers in the past - including mac prep and prime, smashbox, monistat but after using this new loreal one, this is my keeper primer! I love it because it does not irritate my skin and it makes my skin look flawless without feeling like a heavy primer on my face. It covers flawlessly, covers my big pores and leaves a soft feeling to my skin - it feel like velvet and the feeling lasts throughout the day. I use MUFE matt velvet plus foundation over this primer, and my skin looks great and flawless. Another thing is, it keeps my oil at bay - less mattifying throughout the day.
It is important that you moisturize your skin first and then apply a small amount of the primer in circular motions. You do not need to use a lot - less is more, however one down side of this product is you have to use finger to get the product out.
Here's the ingredient list:
cyclohexasiloxane, dimethicone, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, silica, acrylates copolymer, disodium stearoyl glutamate, aluminum hydroxide { /- may contain CI 77891/ titanium dioxide/ CI 77491/ iron oxides} FIL D30587/2

By far the best drugstore primer. Ever. I found this to be even better than MUFE primer, and a good competitor for the famous Smashbox primers. I initially tried this on my mom, and found it to dramatically improve the appearance of her skin. Then I thought, what the heck, I should try it. And I did. And I was not disappointed! Amazing product. I'm still pinching myself, can't believe it came off the drugstore shelf. Highly recommend this to everyone.

I have a very mixed feeling about this product...and when I am not sure about a product, I'm usually hesitant to click "recommend"
First of all, the product DID work...my skin was visibly smoother, and foundation just glided right on, without making my skin appear dry!
It also didn't have a strong scent to it, which I think is essential for makeup bases, as with all the smells coming from all your makeup, you don't want yet ANOTHER scent emanating from you!
The price was slightly higher than expected, approximately 17.99, but I received a free redness primer along with it as a package.
However, my biggest problem with this product that will probably prevent me from purchasing it again is the fact that it made me break out all over my chin. I am very particular about acne.
On a side note, I do have very sensitive skin, that is also dry.
All in all, though this product did not do well for sensitive skin,
it really helped with controlling the flakiness that happens from dry skin.
