Great product for acne prone skin

This cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist. I liked using it and it does help to dry out pimples but i feel that for an everyday use it can feel like it dries my skin. So I like to alternate this cleanser with a more gentle one

I am using as cleaning gel in the morning and at night because it is not so aggressive and can be used in a daily basis. I have an oil skin, but this product is well absorbed and do not leave my skin gross. I have being using for 2 months, and it has minimized my pores

Effaclar gel is very effective and saved my skin!

I started to have bad skin after stopping my pill but this product saved it!
You apply once or twice a day, it is only a cleansing gel so very fast and easy to use.
After 2 week using it i started to see result and after a month my skin was much better!
It is a bit expensive though.

Tout d’abord, les produits La Roche-Posay à base d’eau thermale sont d’excellents produits dermo-cosmétiques qu’on peut retrouver en pharmacie. Il en existe plusieurs gammes pour contrer diverses problématiques de la peau.

Ce produit-ci, de la gamme Effaclar, permet d’aider les peaux grasses et à tendance acnéique. J’aime bien l’utiliser le soir dans la douche, après m’être démaquillée. Il nettoie bien ma peau, sans la dessécher comme le font plusieurs autres savons de ce genre.

Je le recommande fortement aux ados qui tentent de contrer leur problème d’acné ou aux gens ayant une peau grasse en général.

Just started using this about two weeks ago, wanted to try something new because I was getting break outs. So far it is controlling my break outs and doesn't dry out my face. I follow up with a toner and lotion.

This cleaner is great for an oily combination skin tone.
I like what it did for my skin but I had to make sure to keep it far from my eyes.
I tend to quickly wash my face and it this cleanser burns if it gets too close.

This product is expensive. It does last a while as a little goes a long way. I get out breaks and this seems to keep them in check. They are not a frequent now or as severe. Only been using it about 3 months and I hope the results last as I find with me after a while I need to find something new as either my skin becomes used to the product or something like that. But for now very satisfied.

I've got to say that I really did like this. When I went to buy a cleanser, I was actually going in to buy the Vichy gel cleanser that I always use, but this one ended up being a little bit cheaper. It really cleanses your skin, but I wouldn't recommend using it everyday. I have a feeling that using it too often would strip my skin of essential oils. The scent isn't strong, in fact, there's barely any scent. Since I'd never tried a pH balancing cleanser I can't really compare this to any other one. But I did find that this one is meant for oily skin, which isn't terrible for me because I have combination skin.

Overall, for the gel cleansers in this price range, this was pretty good.

This product is supposed to be for oily sensitive skin. I use this occasionally because it is noticeably stripping of the natural oils. However, it is nice for your face to be nice and clean and free of oils. It foams up a lot because besides water, sodium laureth sulfate is the greatest percentage ingredient in the product. It is sulphate free yet it has a fragrance. The fragrance may be irritating but it never irritates my skin or annoys me. It is the scent in all effaclar products that I know of. It feels like water on the skin and unless you are washing your face with a mirror, you won't be able to see where the foam has travelled and if you need to apply more. I find I need about one to two large pea sizes of this product for my face. It is a great product but I will probably not repurchase just because of the price!
