With the sheer amount of adult coloring books out there at the moment, it can be hard to decide what's right for you. If, like me, you hate Mandalas and boring designs and love surrealism, you're gonna love this one. Even if you love Mandalas, but are looking for something a bit different.

This has fast become my fave new coloring book. The book is filled with surreal and wonderful designs from a multitude of artists. It even has a section at the back with info on each artist and who drew which page. It has double pages for some of the designs, something I've never seen before in an adult coloring book. It's also my first experience of a collaborative coloring book and let me tell you, that's something I didn't know I needed.

My previous favourite coloring book is lovely, but the designs get a bit samey and tedious after a while, since it's all by the same artist with a recognisable style. This book has such a nice variety of types and styles that I find myself wanting to color every page and being unsure where to start.

Quality wise, it's the best quality I've seen. The pages are thick high-quality paper that would be great for framing afterwards. The only negative I can find is that the pages are double-sided, but with 85 different designs to color, I don't think that could have been avoided.

I'm not sure if marker would bleed through (my heart says no), but I use pencils and am considered a heavy leaner. Almost all my coloring pages get warped and it's difficult to draw on the other side without it ripping. I've already started coloring on this and not only does the pencil glide onto the paper in a lovely way (not as many gaps, nice and smooth and pigmented), but there's no visible indentation. I don't think that's ever happened to me before.

    Pros
    - Huge amount of designs.
    - Thick, great quality paper.
    - Surreal designs (not something you see that often).
    - More than one artist meaning you don't get bored with the designs.
    - Designs aren't repetitive.
    - Info section at the back on the artists.

    Cons
    - Designs are double-sided.

If I had to describe this coloring book in a sentence it would be 'A coloring book for coloring book connoisseurs'. If you've tried a few and loved them, but been getting a bit bored, give this one a try. It certainly didn't disappoint me. I'll update with a colored picture once I finish my first one.
