I fell in love with this movie the first time I watched it. What a beautiful and important message. I love the main character and his indefatigable hope, joy and appetite for life. This is a movie that everyone should watch. If only everyone in the world could be half as wonderful as the main character was!

I can only echo the other review for this movie - it's amazing and tragic and beautiful and haunting. Fabulous performances, a gripping story, and a perfect kind of bittersweet.

Light fluff this is not, so if you're in the mood for a deep thinker-kind of flick, this is a great choice.

This is a foreign film, entitled "La Vita E Bella" (Italian). It is a beautiful movie about a Jewish man in 1930s Italy, taken away with his wife and son to a Nazi concentration camp. To help cope the brutalities (and separation from his wife), he begins pretending that the camp is a game that they must win. He tells his son that the winning of this game will be a big tank (every little boys dream!)

It is a beautifully executed film (7 academy award nominations, and win). The acting is brilliant, and you cannot help but fall in love with this tragically uplifting story. I definitely think this is one of the classics of all time! You will definitely laugh, cry and be angry during this movie, so get ready for an emotional roller coaster!
