Works well, shiny colour & nice highlights. The brush included does tangle my fine curly hair. As with all highlighting kits, it's best to have someone else do the back of your hair.

I used this on a friend, rather than on my own hair, and I thought that this kit was extremely easy to use. I don't know if it would be quite as easy to use on yourself, because you have to keep the brush upright and bring it straight down your hair, and that might be difficult on the back. But using it on someone else it was rather easy. The brush has three prongs that you load the hair colour onto, then you run it down the length of the hair. You can leave it like that for chunkier highlights, but I found it was better to go over the strands a couple of times to more evenly spread the colour and have more subtle highlights. You can even use it more heavily on the ends to create an ombre effect. The product itself didn't have an overwhelming smell to it like some hair colours do, and it wasn't messy at all. It was less messy than regular hair colour, since you only apply it to the brush. The results were very lovely. You do have to make sure especially by the top of the head that you have even coverage, otherwise you risk it looking splotchy. If you have thick hair, do layers starting on the bottom layer and working your way up. Overall this was a very effective product that was very easy to use, at a really decent price. The only bad thing was they only had three shades of blonde (at least at my location), so if you want a colour other than blond to highlight you're somewhat out of luck.
