like it

I just love this book. It is a bit on the "unusual" side, but that is just Munsch for ya. I first read this my Freshman year of college. I cried then and I cry when I read it to my girls. It's the intergenerational, unconditional love of mother/son and then father/daughter that I feel a strong connection with.

Worth the read.

A few years ago when my daughter was young, she had wanted me to read her this book. I cried. I bawled. And now, years later, I still cry when I think about it, because it makes me think of my ageing mother. This book is a must-have and a must-read for anyone.

Not only was this book read to all four of my children every night, but I also gifted it to both my Mom, and my Mother-in-law!
This book is timeless in its beauty and message--and a lovely way to let parents know how they are appreciated and loved..and that they will have our love and support--as did they for us....a lovely 'circle of life' story.

I absolutely love this book! It was my favourite book when I was a child. It has such a great storyline and makes you tear up. Also, Robert Munsch is an amazing author. I will definitely read this book to my children one day!
