I got this in a gift set from Sephora. I have been trying to find a great blackest black eyeliner to stay in my waterline without ending up looking like a raccoon. This was just okay for me. I found that I still had to set it with black eyeshadow. I probably wouldn't repurchase. The hunt continues...
I love, LOVE this liner. It stays all day without smudging and is super pigmented. I just repurchased my black one today!
It’s super-slim, twist up, ultra-glide eye pencil provides precise application without the hassle of ever having to sharpen your pencil again. Its creamy formula provides vivid colour that’s incredibly easy to apply. Simply glide it across the lash line for true opaque colour in one easy swipe. It sets within seconds, but offers enough time to smudge it out for a smoky effect. It is highly pigmented and offers intense colour payoff, along with effortless application for long-lasting definition. Once set, it doesn’t crease, smudge or budge throughout the day and its extreme, bold colour stays put for a solid 12 hours. This Make Up For Ever Artist Liner truly is a game changer. I’m pretty sure it could withstand a hurricane and still look flawless. It’s indestructible, long wearing, waterproof, sweat proof and smudge proof. Even on the lower lash line and waterline, it lasted throughout the day without smudging or fading. Although I love its twist-up design, it doesn’t retract. If you’re not careful, you could twist-up too much, resulting in broken pieces and wasted product. Its ultra- creamy texture glides on wonderfully without pulling or tugging on the lash line. If you’re looking for a truly black, long lasting eyeliner, this is the pencil for you.

Launching this month, MAKE UP FOR EVER has released their new Artist Liners. Described as ‘a twist-up, gliding eye pencil that delivers intense colour payoff in a range of shades’ I have to say that I was super eager to try them out and put them to the test. Today I will be taking a look at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liner in I-22, Iridescent Turquoise.
First up, let’s talk about the formula. The Artist Liner has to be one of the most creamy eye liner formulas I have ever had the pleasure of using. It just glides right on with crazy insane colour payoff and there is no tugging at all. Considering just how irritated my eyes have been as of late, the no tugging during application is very appreciated.
When they said that the Artist Liner’s deliver intense colour payoff, they certainly weren’t kidding around. Before I even applied it to my eyes, I swatched it on my hand and I couldn’t get over just how bright it was. I-22 really lives up to the name Iridescent Turquoise and has a little shimmer that really works to make the colour pop out even more. Personally, I love this liner as an accent to an otherwise neutral eye and love applying it along my bottom waterline and lash line as my sold focus of colour on my eyes. The fact that while it is smudge proof, it can also be blended out upon application to create a smokey eye is a huge bonus.
I just used this product this morning and I am in love. I had used the Aqua Eyes before, and loved them, but for my purposes, I find this liner even better.
The formula is a rich, matte black (shade M-10) and once it sets, it doesn't budge. I used it to tightline my eyes, and then also applied it to the lash line and smudged it out with a brush. The result is quite nice and the product has not budged from either area.
The tip is super slim so you can do precise defining or smudge it out for a smokey look. Oh, added bonus, it's a twist up pencil, so no need to worry about sharpening! I believe the product retails for about $23, so while it is pricier than a drugstore liner, I think that the quality you are getting for the price cannot be matched.
