At first I bought this thinking it would be great dupe for a beautyblender but it was the worst ! When i try to put my foundation on with this, it absorbs everything so there is anything left for my face. Bits a pieces fell off just after the third wash.
Well, I purchased this on a whim knowing it's probably crap. It doesn't absorb any liquid like a regular beauty sponge. It would be horrid to blend out a face of foundation, however it's great for blending out the concealer around my eyebrow because it's so pointy! Thats all I use it for.
I find it was really stiff (compared to a beauty blender) so it felt harsh to use. The only place I like using it is on my forehead but not around the eyes (I don't want to pull at the skin.) The handle is neat. Just wish the sponge was less foam-feeling and more sponge.
I personally prefer beauty blenders that are a bit bigger. It does the job, but it makes the process a bit too lengthy in my opinion. It is also not available to buy in my area.
I loved the Maybelline New York Velvet foundation but I didn't appreciate the blender that came with it....I prefer to use my hands to apply the foundation.
it is not easy to apply foundation evenly with that blender....
I would not recommend this blender. I would save some money and just buy the original beauty blender instead. This is a hard sponge, even after wet and the application was not as smooth.
I recieved the dream blender thanks to chickadvisor.
I received the maybelline New York dream blender courtesy of chick advisor to try out for free. I really don't like the blenders whatsoever, but that's just me. Prior to this, I have not experienced a blender stick and just prefer to use my fingers.
Not really a fan. I've grown up using my little fingertips for almost anything and I feel like this blender just soaks up my foundation... i'll stick to my fingers.
I HATE IT! It does nothing for me! before applying for this, I did purchase one myself and gave it a solid try almost everyday, almost everyday I wanted to just throw it out! Its just aweful for foundation, the sponge itself is too tiny and very hard! The instructions say to wet under water and dry off on towel, well Ive did it and personally wetting the sponge does nothing compared to lets say the Real Techniques or Beauty Blender! Total waste of money! only thing i found it good for was to blend out concealer or applying powder to my under eyes! PURCHASE AT OWN RISK! Because it is aweful! #Maybelline #ChickAdviser #DreamVelvet
I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. Overall I thought it was okay. I like the feel of this and that there was a handle. I find that this soaked up a lot of the foundation even though I soaked it with water first. Not sure if I would purchase this. I will keep using this and see if there is a better way to use it.
