LOVED this product! I was so excited to receive these in the mail and try them out as I'm a big fan of eyeshadow..I wear it every day and love experimenting. I got to try Purple Icon and Give Me Gold. At first I was hesitant because they looked a bit 'sparkly' to me and I didn't think I could pull it off in my office. Boy was I wrong. These colours were great. The colours glided on so smoothly and NO creases by days end. I was able to do a subtle look for day and go dramatic and night. I would most definitely try out and buy more of these shadows! The only think I didn't like was the application brush it came with...NOT a big deal though since I never use the brushes shadows come with anyway..I don't like the application of them.
Other than the brush these pallets are great and the colours complement each other really well. I'm excited to try out some more and will probably hit up Shoppers within the next week for some more colours!

I also had the opportunity to be part of this product tester's club review!! These are the questions we had to answer:
a) How was your overall experience using this product?
I wear glasses and when I saw all that shimmer, I got scared...But I actually love them!! I found that they actually made my eyes look brighter: I have tired eyes that needed a major pick-me-up. I do have oily lids( I do not wear primer) and did find it to crease(like all the others) after a couple of hours. I also did spot a couple of glitters on my face during the day but maybe I had put on a bit too much. I love the velvety feeling upon application like others have mentioned and find it to be exactly the same as Smashbox's. If you absolutely hate shimmer, stay away from this thought. But I do recommend that you try it.
Next color I want to try? The blue/ turquoise one (picture above!!)
b) What kind of color result did you achieve?
answer: I tried wearing each palettes at a time on the first 2 days. But since I didn't really go anywhere but my classes(university) and downtown (to shop) I mostly used the palest shades. I even went back to my Smashbox eyeshadows (which I looove) for a day and found the colors to look dull on me compared to these babies!!
c) How would you describe the look you created? (Eg. dramatic, romantic, subtle, etc)
I went for a more romantic/subtle look mostly (since I wore it mainly for daywear)
d) Did anyone comment on or compliment your new look?"
answer: I did not see any of my friends since I got the quads. My boyfriend made no comments(as usual...) on my makeup.
e) Which palettes did you test?
answer: I tested the "Taupe Temptress" and "Green with envy" palettes.

I was thrilled to be selected as one of the product testers for Maybelline's new Eye Studio eyeshadow. I was sent the "Taupe Temptress" and "Green with Envy" pallets. I did some looking around on the internet to see how much it costs in stores and what Maybelline claims about this eyeshadow. From what I could find on price is that it costs around $7.49 to $9.99. Maybelline introduces the set on their webpage - http://www.maybellinenewyork.ca/caeng/products/eyes/shadows/l29l30l46l216l2884.htm
I found their claims on texture and luminosity to be accurate. The texture is very silky feeling - not caky at all, no matter how many layers. Even after wearing this eyeshadow all day, it still appeared smooth and 'luminous,' not creasing or fading.
I was initially nervous about how sparkly it looked. However, once on, it didn't appear to be nearly as sparkly as I had initially thought it would. I was happy with this as I do not like sparkly as much as I would prefer shimmer.
As to how dramatic this eyeshadow is, I found it took a lot of layering to get the deeper shades of the colors. The plus side to this is that it can be worn as a day look with a thin layer, and an evening look with a few extra layers of shadow.
The price I think is maybe a little high for a drugstore shadow, but I do admit it is one of the better shadows I have tried.

I recieved this product from the Product Review Club and I am very thankful that I was chosen!! I recieved two palettes: Pink Persuasion and Green With Envy.
My overall experience was very good! I usually wear MAC makeup and this is very comparable in the colour brightness, colour blendability, and silky smooth feel. The colour was very true to what was on the pallate and the dark colours lived up to their intensity, I was very impressed. The Pink Persuasion creates a soft, romantic look and the Green With Envy creates a look fit for going out to a nightclub or bar. My friends commented me on my new eye shadows and wanted to try them
I would reccomend this to anyone who likes smooth, silky eyeshadows with a bit of sparkle!

Like many of the reviewers here, I also received the Maybelline New York EyeStudio Eyeshadow Quad in the mail, courtesy of ChickAdvisor and the Product Review Club. I received two quad sets: "Green With Envy" and "Taupe Temptress".
I absolutely love these eyeshadows! They go on very smoothly - quite silky. The colours are so vibrant and shimmery. The shimmer of these eyeshadows is similar to the quality of the Lise Watier eyeshadows - but for much less money. The more you apply, the more shimmer and density/pigmentation you'll get. The first time I wore this eyeshadow (I wore the colours from the "Taupe Temptress" set), I wore it to work. We are not supposed to wear bright colours where I work, so, a single brush/coat of the colours from "Taupe Temptress" were perfect! I still got the shimmer, without the brightness/high pigmentation. Later that night, I added another coat to what I was already wearing for an evening look - I got more pigmentation and even more shimmer! It was a perfect evening look! I found that I preferred to wear the colours from "Green With Envy" outside of work - only because the colours are brighter (and I love to wear the brighter, more vibrant colours outside of work!)
These shadows are especially great for those of us who like that extra shimmer/sparkle. The colours last all day, without creasing. They are suitable for both a day/work look, and an evening look. I find that it takes a couple of more coats to get a higher pigmentation and more vibrant look, but I absolutely love the sparkles! It is definitely one of my favourite shadows from Maybelline. I really like that these sets come in quads, so it gives you room to play around with the colours. I even mix and match between the quads! I will definitely be going out and getting a few of the other quads!

I received Maybelline New York Eye Studio Eyeshadow Quad from the product review club in I"Pink Persuasion" and "Mad for Mauve" and like the other reviewers, I loved both sets.
I have been using both sets for the last week and I love it's consistency when it goes on as well as how well the color shows up on my skin. Sometimes when I wear eyeshadows without a base, it tends to not 'show up' much on me, but this was not the case with this product. I am so in love with this product that I plan on going out and buying the other palettes!

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO Chick Advisor & the Review Club for giving me both the Copper Brown & Grey Pink for free to review and test out!
This so far has been my favourite to test not only because I love the fun and wild to simple and sparkly shades but because this makeup finally does what it should!
My overall experience...AMAZING. I could go out to a club and everytime I went to the bathroom to do a makeup check NO SMUDGE no wrinkles. it was amazing! bravo.
Colour result was fun to try out. you could do just a simple pink all over or you could use the black in the corner pink in the center and shade it with the lighter one just so many options!
The looks I would create were more my styles which was simple and natural in the day and by the weekend it would get way more dramatic but you could make anywhere from the natural to the dramatic to the pretty girl I mean the options are up to you you have 4 great shades to work with !
My girlfriends all asked if it was MAC makeup! Specially the black sparkly because when girls see nice eyeshadow that is actually doing its job and staying in its spot! they assume...EXPENSIVE! They do not assume simple maybelline from a drug store kind of brand.
So as soon as I did tell them what it was called they allll went to grab a pair.
My favourite part about this eyeshadow is definiatley the texture. thats what makes it for me...The only negative I can think of other than it won't be free for you if you didnt get it as a gift from the review club haha is that the colours do come with alot of sparkle from the ones I got and if you are into more a soft look with no sparkle then these wont be for you..But I think every girl needs a well working eyeshadow with a lil bling bling.
LOVE IT
&
THANKYOU

As always, thank you to the Chick Advisor team who was kind enough to send two pallets of Maybelline's new eyeshadow collection named, "EyeStudio". I received "Pink Persuasion" and "Mad for Mauve" and I loved both sets.
I received them early last week and I've been wearing them both in different color combinations practically everyday for the last week. I just can't get enough.
Both sets have sparkly tones in each color, making it look like you've applied a creme eyeshadow, which was my #1 favorite thing about the product. I went out on Friday night and was going for a romantic look... purple dress, tights... so I wanted to make sure that my eyes popped to complete the look. I chose to use the "Mad for Mauve" color pallet and it was definately the right choice. It acheived a rich tone with a touch of sparkle.
I was so eager to show off my look, I kept showing all my friends who confirmed that it did look really nice. I probably never would have purchased this particular product because of the colors (I didn't think they would look right) and that's why I'm so glad I got a chance to try it out thanks to Chick Advisor. I'll definately be purchasing other color pallets in the "EyeStudio" collection! :)
