Moose! is a children's book written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Michael Martchenko. I recalled enjoying Robert Munsch books when I was younger. But reading this as an adult to my kid I am not impressed at all.

The artwork is decent and seems like a cartoonist really took his time. Although I find it weird that the main characters seem to be either stereotypical rednecks or hoarders. Their backyard has stolen road signs, gasoline barrels, sinks on the ground, and lots of random garbage. Also the mother apparently keeps 3 brooms and the father has 3 hoses. Both of these types of objects are apparently used to frighten off animals.

One big thing I don't like about the book is that it encourages kids to yell, go into the bedroom of their parents (although for some reason these two don't sleep in the same room) uninvited and on a non emergency circumstance, and most importantly, teaches them to hit their parents. Not a promising value to teach in a children's book.

For those that don't care about such things and are good at using funny voices and sounding out weird phonetically spelled sounds, then this book is for you. Otherwise, if you're looking for a book that reinforces what you're trying to teach your kid's and gives them a good start on life, then Moose! Is not for you.
