    WHAT IS KONJAC?
The Konjac Potato or Konnyaku is a perennial plant native to Asia, and can be found growing wild at very high altitudes. A totally natural food source, Konjac is 97% water, rich in mineral goodness and low in calories. Naturally alkaline, Konjac is pH neutral which leaves skin perfectly balanced.

My Konjac Sponge (click link to purchase) came as a hard sponge. After submerging it in water for just a few seconds, it softened and became almost gelatin-like. Honestly, it feels like a sea cucumber when it’s wet. It was a little weird feeling.

This all-natural and biodegradable fiber sponge with bamboo charcoal is great for cleansing, exfoliating, and revitalizing your acne-prone and oily skin.

There are five handmade sponges, each dealing with a specific facial issue. In addition, there are two body sponges and one for babies. Each sponge is chemical-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

I used my sponge with bar soap and with liquid facial cleanser. Each soap was picked up sufficiently to wash my face and it was easily washed out. I was able to hang my sponge by the string that is strung through it. When it’s completely dry, it becomes hard again.

You should microwave your sponge in water every two weeks to sanitize it. Because these sponges are all-natural, they need to be replaced approximately every three months.
