What it is:
A mini mirrored compact featuring two crease-proof NARS eye shadows in modern, complementary shades.
What it does:
This long-wearing, crease-resistant formula is uniquely paired in dazzling and creative color combinations, expertly coordinated by François Nars. Worn together or alone, these shades are richly pigmented and can be applied sheer or built up for a more dramatic effect. Used wet, these shadows also double as eyeliners.

I have the Nars duo in Isolde and it is beautiful!! I love that I can get a nice bronze eye look with a touch of gold. I wear this all the time together, and then add a matte colour in the crease. It's quick, easy and pigmented. I love that I can get a look with it, and don't need a ton of other eyeshadows to complete the look. These are a little pricey, so I don't love that, but I don't regret purchasing at all. I would likely purchase the duo's in another shade.
These duos have quickly become my go-to for eyeshadow. I have two -- Portobello (2 matte, medium brown shades) and All About Eve (two light, shimmery shades). I use Portobello on the lid and in the crease, and I highlight the browbone and inner corner with All About Eve. It's the perfect everyday neutral eye. These are really convenient for both every day and for travel. The shadows are AMAZING quality -- really buttery and really smooth. The price tag isn't my favorite and I won't be buying a ton of these duos, but when I run out of the two I have, I'll totally repurchase them.
NARS is one of my favorite brands for makeup and the eye shadows are no exception. I don't wear a lot of eye makeup, but when I do, I like things to stay put and I hate shadows that are too powdery or flakey, and I hate it when there's simply not enough colour.
Thankfully, NARS shadows address all these common problems. I don't need a primer with these shadows and the colors are very rich and apply with the intensity of a cream shadow for me. I love the duos... there's some lovely neutrals, but I think the standouts here are the contrasting palettes which are unique. The colors look vibrant in the case and go on that way. Highly recommended!
With all Nars products you get what you pay for. Great pigmentation and vibrant duos. My current everyday routine includes the Key Largo duo. It contains a more cream than nude colour as well as a muted brown. I use the lighter colour for the entire eye lid and use the darker colour to define my crease. It really makes your eyes pop! You don't have to worry about Nars eyeshadows coming off as its fade proof through the night, without a primer. But if you know you will sweat a bit I will recommend a primer or even some of your foundation on your eyes to retain the colour.
Always been pleased with Nars products and their eyeshadows are no exception!!
I was given Tzarine to try and I absolutely love it! The steel grey and beige make a great pair. The grey color has gold pigments infused within, so it compliments the light beige perfectly. These colors can create the perfect red-carpet look. The colors are very long-lasting and don't slide around at all. Definitely worth every penny!
NARS eyeshadows are the best in the business.
The pigment is so vibrant and bright. You really only need to apply a little bit to get nice even colour on your eyes unlike some other eyeshadows that look nothing like the colour in the pot. This fact makes it worth the price of the product.
The duos are the best deal because the colours are selected perfectly to blend into beautiful results.
When I'm looking for a variety of of shadow shades there are only a couple of lines I turn to and NARS is one of them! Their shadow collection is huge and comes in a variety of gorgeous shades and textures. These powders are highly pigmented and don't crease or fade. Very versatile in that you can layer over cream shadows or apply wet for more intensity. I love the duo concept because it takes the guesswork out of matching shades. They come in slim black compacts so it's great for transporting plus a mirror. It's pricey for a duo but the quality is totally worth it especially if you do makeup for a living. I wish I could own every single one but will have to collect slowly...a staple in my kit is Key Largo, a pale peach and shimmering bronze.
