    good but somewhat overrated beer

Newcastle Brown Ale has a nice brown color that is reddish when held up to the light. This is an easy one to drink, the flavor is ok, the feel is light. It is sweet loaded with caramelized grain, but not overly so. It smelled of roastiness, coffee and toffee. The flavors are close enough to the original to bring back some nostalgia. Overall it is pretty good but somewhat overrated beer.

    About Newcastle Brown Ale :
Newcastle Brown Ale is auburn in color with a rich full-bodied flavor and a slightly sweet finish. The recipe was developed by Colonel J. Porter, aka "The Original Dogwalker", in 1927 in Newcastle, England. In Newcastle, England, “Walking the Dog” is Geordie slang for hitting the pub for a Newcastle Brown Ale. It’s a bit of code to use when you’re looking to meet friends and enjoy a couple pints of Newcastle Brown Ale.

I really quite enjoy this brown ale - it has a nice malty flavor, and doesn't leave a bad aftertaste.

I prefer Brown ales during the fall and winter seasons, so this is another one on my list.

This is good for people who don't enjoy a hoppy taste!
