our elderly cat loved it at first. She ate a bit then later ate a couple of bites then not at all interested. Dogs thought it was awesome.
I liked the reseal able bag but not the odour of the food

Unfortunately my cats did not appreciate the Nutrience Grain Free Subzero cat food. I have mixed it with their old food, set out a separate dish of only the Nutrience food - nada. When it was mixed they would push the Nutrience out of the dish and onto the floor to get to their old food. When it was the only thing on offer they would not eat. I have donated the remainder of the bag to our local pet rescue and they really appreciated it. the cats there seem to enjoy the food very much.

Based on personal experience in my own home, I can't recommend this product. That being said, the pet rescue was very impressed and thought it was a terrific product.

Received a trial bag for our new kitten. She did not like this brand at all. The only way I can get her to eat it, is to mix it with another brand. Also, when you open the bag there is a strong odour that does not smell nice.

I received Nutrience Grain Free SubZero cat food in the flavour Prairie Red. I've had good experiences with Nutrience before. The ingredient list looks very impressive. But for some reason my cats didn't seem to like it. They would eat it if they had to, but they definitely didn't like it. I'm going to say it was the flavour that we got although I can't say 100%. I won't be buying this again because we have a go to brand that is just as high in quality and we know the cats like it. There were no changes in appearance or behaviour, just following me around and meowing at me because they didn't want to eat it (again, due to flavour I believe). I would recommend it due to the high quality ingredients, and I'm sure other cats would like this particular flavour or other flavours.

I received the Nutrience Sub Zero Fraser Valley blend. Both of my cat's will usually eat anything and everything in site, but all the love they showed this food was a simply sniff, a bat with the paws, and thrown all over the floor. They just did not seem to take a shining to it. We tried games, which were great, but they would not take the reward, which was the food. I put this into their dishes at 11am in the morning, and at 430pm it was still untouched, except for the occasional sniff. Two or three peices did get eaten, but they did not show the same enthusiasm as when they get their normal dry food by Royal Canin of Hills. I am just not sure what or why the cats did not take a liking to it. I left it with their dishes for 2 weeks, I tried mixing it in with other food and it was picked over and not eaten. I tried games, I tried using it as treats, and found nothing that would make it appeal to them. Sadly, the cat that this originally was intended to be tried on, passed away the same day this was delivered, he was older and loved his dry foods. Five weeks later, my partner and I adopted two rescue cats from the local SPCA, and I thought this would be perfect for them, but they just never took a liking to it. The interest was there, but they just would not go for it. I am saddened by this, and will donate the rest of the bag to the shelter, but the cats just did not care for it. I hate being negative, but this truly was up to the cats, not me.

Here's an update, that surprised even me. This morning I thought I would give it one last try. I put out two bowls of the food, one for each cat, alongside of their normal dry Hill's Diet food, and they took to the food right away, and ate to their hearts content. I don't know why the sudden shift in their minds, but they loved it! Perhaps it was just them being new to the house and they were sticking to what they knew from the shelter, but they love it. Can't say how long this trend will last, but for now, they are eating the food and enjoying it, which makes me happy. They love the dried salmon chunks in it, and the size of the food is perfect for them, and they chew every morsel. So, my review is yes, the cats actually do love it, they just had to make up their own mind to try it first. These cats never cease to amaze me.

I received my bag of cat food. Loved the ingredients and the fact that it is grain-free. That being said - when I tried to feed it to my cat she refused. I went so far as to only give her that food and she went on a hunger strike to the point where I got concerned and had to feed her other dry food. The bits of food are extremely rock hard - i'm actually concerned that she could damage her teeth if she actually ate it. So my final verdict is that if you have a picky eater like my cat then buy with caution.

I didn't notice much difference in Cat's level of energy or anything, but he's a ball of energy as it is, so it wouldn't have been a good thing if I did. He does seem to like the taste though. Every day I would find all the little raw bits gone, so it was pretty obvious that was his favourite part.

Unfortunately my cat was not enthusiastic about trying this particular brand and she made she I knew it by pawing at me and whining when she walked over to the food bowl.

I was given an opportunity to have her try this for free from @ChickAdvisor and sadly my cat was not willing to big deal and explore her horizons.
However, my chihuahua seemed to have no worry as to stealing kibble out of the dish when the cat wasn't looking.
I will try the dogfood version of this brand but will not be buying the cat food version in the future.

My two cats were lucky enough to be chosen to try out the Prairie Red formula for Cats for free. I was really excited when I saw the high quality list of ingredients and the level of nutrition seems great. I always purchase meat first dry foods for my cats as it is their main food source. They get little bit of wet food as a treat once a day but their main nutrition comes from their dry kibble so it needs to be complete. After opening the bag they were both very interested so I put a small handful down in a bowl for them to try. They both sniffed it and walked away without even trying it! I then started the recommended transition process and mixed it in with their usual food. They both ate their usual kibble and left the SubZero. I've tried everything to get them to try it but it hasn't gone very well. I've given up and just set a small bowl of it near where they sleep and one of the cats has nibbled on it. I've had the full bowl out and available for several days and she has barely touched it. They other cat won't try it at all! I will likely end up donating it to our local shelter. I'm disappointed because I really support this brand and what they are doing for animals but unfortunately my cats don't like it. I think this may be because I received the beef based flavour and they are not big fans of beef. I think the chicken or fish flavour would have gone over better. I may try one of the other varieties in the future and I would still recommend this food to others. My cats are just super picky!
